My JW MIL had a hip replacement last year...no blood. She did just fine. No big deal..really. (She is 84 and has hollow bones.) Course if he is a bleeder..they can use that machine that recirculates your blood. I can't even remember what it is called. I had to study all that stuff when hubby was Ill. Now I can't remember any of it. But they have all that in the bloodless hospitals. Snoozy..

LOL @ the door knocking story.

I'm a bleeder and that machine would never make me survive even minor surgery. Be aware the JWs lie about the bloodless options being available in every situation. There are still many situations in which blood products are the only thing that will save someone.

Prince, a Jehovah's Witness, is thought to be against having surgery because the religion does not allow blood transfusions.
Prince....If you a secret JWD Lurker I have the answer for you. It is true the dubs do not allow the transfusion of whole blood BUT... blood that has been fractionated can be used. My advice..Take whole blood, break it down into component fractions. After the operation you may have to have 20 IV lines running into you but at least you can top up.
To help remix it you can try bobbing up and down a little....Golden Ageā¢ Quote
