I used to live by a Popey's in SF but never went there once....think I'm a bit too loyal to Ezell's Chicken...I'm a Northwest girl. I do think Ezell's has gone a bit down hill after franchizing though. As for the question prophecor, it's hard to buy from somebody who doesn't take the product in moderation....just my opinion.

Has anyone ate at Powell's Place in SF. The chicken is good....but the greens could be much better....I think they use too much lard.

Popeye's chicken is (IMO) very good. I prefer Popeyes over the Colonel.

They have 2 types of chicken. Mild, or Spicy. I prefer the spicy as it has a better flavor than the mild.

We had a Popeye's around the corner from where I lived, but, unfortunatly, It burned down. No lie, there was a bunch of middle aged men just standing across the street from the burned out building upset that they couldn't get their chicken fix. But, they reopened one a couple of miles up the road.
