Whoa dude...that is a TALL order for anybody to qualify for. Why dont you try the JW singles websites? Put what you are looking for out there and see if you get any takers? You might like to add walking on the beach or reading good novels or something else besides the study of WT propaganda. Otherwise I cant see how it would be very appealing for anyone to apply for the job.

by angel eyes injust want to know why some of you,not all,please dont think im meaning all of you because that truly isnt the case,claim to be happy for leaving the truth,being df etc yet you continue to speak about jehovah or attack him or the organisation??
even for many years after.. this would show that your hurt by them df you.
when someone we love hurts us its natural to want to hurt them back because we have feelings for them.so im thinking that many have love for jehovah still??

they mentioned possible management in the interview - so perhaps it can grow over time.. anyway - it will help keep the wolves off the doors.

You know what...this has been a humbling experience for all of us. This economy we are in. I have no more credit cards. I have cash and sometimes dont have that...and I examine every single thing in my life if its a want or a need before I get it. Yes...I think its actually good for us all. Congrats to your wife. I fold clothes at Sams Club but by golly its employment!

Its not so much...I think for a lot of us...that we dont believe in GOD any more, but we sure as hell dont believe in the"JEHOVAH" that the JWs created from air, some war god that punishes anybody who doesnt follow this man made organization.

Spike...I disagree with those who say you cant be reproved unless you are baptized. I WAS reproved. I was "dating" a guy who was a born in JW, and the first NIGHT we went to bed together (worldly desperate person that I was) and he made no mention of it being "against his religion" conveniently, until later. And thats how I got involved with the JWs. However after studying (with his annointed mother no less) I realized what HE had been doing was forbidden all along and mentioned it to an elder who went ballistic. Several MONTHS of JCs ensued, involving a whole network of JWs all covering for each others double lives. And the Presiding Overseer told me that he could not PUBLICLY reprove me, but as an unbaptized publisher he COULD and DID privately reprove me, removing me from answering in the meetings or going out in service and speaking at doors for six months.
So, again...even if you are not officially a baptized JW, if it is your INTENT to become one, and you are already going to meetings, studying...singing...doing whatever it takes to become one eventually, you need to understand and abide by their rules, cacameemee as they may be...in order to be eligible for baptism. They look at your total life style when they assess you for candidacy. Your chosen dating partner will have to be of the same mind as you are for this to work. She has to desire to be in subjection to their rules of conduct as well.
If she isnt...you will only be stopping your own progress and you have to consider if its worth it to you.
Thats the reality of it. You are entitled to happiness in your life, Aspergers or not.

A Bible Study sounds very alluring doesnt it? Very spiritual. Except in the case of the JWs, the Bible is just sort of a prop. What they teach from is their own man made materials which indoctrinate and subliminally brain wash, their students into THINKING they are doing something "for God". They "study" (read: read a paragraph, ask a question about that paragraph, re-state what you just read in the paragraph again...reinforcing it over and over and over) their own literature, love bombing the student, tickling the ears of the student, complimenting the student over and over about what wonderful "progress" they are making, doing things for and with the student, giving the student the idea that they are becoming lasting friends. When in fact...that relationship is based solely on that student continuing to become a JW. If they do not...the relationship ends like someone flipping a light switch. It is conditional and disingenuous.
As for a 17 year old being attracted to it..has she ever been exposed to any other religion but this one? Doesnt sound like it. And even as a 30 year old, I was DRAWN to the "closeness" of the JW community, which is part of the love bombing recruiting process. I was alone, divorced from a very abusive man, had no friends, and was RIPE for this and fell for it. And of course it all looked logical, and indeed in my very first study, I was told that my relatives and friends would try to stop my study and that was because Satan himself was making them do that to try to get me away from Jehovah. And when that HAPPENED...I was like whoooooooaaaaa....they MUST have the truth because THEY KNEW THAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN! I was soooo naive and ignorant. And the problem was that I had no knowledge of either the bible or anything else to fight this "logic" and "reasoning from the scriptures" the JWs have down to a science. It is a VERY DANGEROUS CULT. And it will ruin your family if allowed to slide under your door.
Encourage your partner to look at both sides of this issue. If this is the TRUTH then it should by definition, hold up under ANY scrutiny. So tell her that she needs to ask questions, read nonJW literature. Talk to ex members. Come in here and ask any questions she wants to. Anything we tell her she can certainly go back and ask a JW or look in THEIR literature to get the other side. Make INFORMED decisions instead of falling for the Used Car Salesman's Pitch that the JWs foist on everybody to make themselves look good and appealing. And yes if you go along for the ride, you can ask the questions she doesnt. See how quickly the JWs force you out of the picture...because you threaten to derail their "progress" with their target.
Progress by the way, is just a way of saying they were on page 12 last week and now they are on page 18. Or " Gosh, its been an entire month that we have been coming here to see you and you never missed a study! What wonderful "progress" you are making! And by the way...you dont really want to use that nasty old King James version do you with that hard to read Old English in it? Here honey...I brought you a brand new New World Translation and it wont cost you a thing."
Its an insidious cult. We ALL know because we ALL did this to people and had it done to us. Do what you can to get your family the hell out.

The biggest falsehood proclaimed by the WTS is that JEHOVAH and ORGANIZATION are the SAME ENTITY. That to leave one is to LEAVE THE OTHER. Which means that people IN the Organization believe they are one with God Himself and above all the rest of humanity. A very lofty self righteous position is it not. To LEAVE the Almighty Watchtower (echo echo echo) therefore means the immediate label of Under Satan and evil, and apostate, and bitter and vengeful and.....guilty as charged. No matter what a persons reason for leaving was...you MUST have done something EVIL and SINFUL to have been either kicked out or slithered away. And thats EXACTLY the way the WTS wants you to think of ex members. So...I can see clearly it is working with you.
Why would a raped person want to help prevent others from being raped? Why would a molested child want vengeance against his molestor? Why are there support groups for those people?
Why are people disfellowshipped for joining the YMCA but the Watchtower Society can join the UNITED NATIONS for 10 years with absolutely no sanctions? And without TELLING anybody?
Why can the Watchtower Society and its robots the Governing Body, write article after article of hurtful, nasty comments about EVERY OTHER RELIGION ON THE PLANET and yet yell foul when someone DARES to point on their hypocrisy and propagandising??
Think about the above when you question our need to reach out and help others get out of this masochistic cult.
