  i left to go out for my morning walk this morning and saw two men in ties with briefcases walking with an umbrella.

  (it is south florida after all) and of course i knew who they were immediately.

  i passed three more "groups" on the way out of the complex walking their baby carriages wearing their long dresses and practical shoes with their hair up in buns going maybe 1mph....and i couldnt leave fast enough.

I passed three more "groups" on the way out of the complex walking their baby carriages wearing their long dresses and practical shoes with their hair up in buns going maybe 1mph....and I couldnt leave fast enough. I was hoping they would be gone by the time I got back.

  They werent.

  They were entering the sidewalk in the next building over and I hastily walked right past them trying not to make eye contact, grabbed the key out of my pocket and locked myself inside my townhouse as fast as I could....and before I could SIT they were ringing the doorbell! How did they get there so fast??? Not once...not twice but THREE times! And it reminded me of those movies with zombies where they just keep coming and coming and coming and theyre on your street, then your sidewalk, then they are at your dooooor and theres NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO STOP THEM!!!!!

  AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

  More Society cutbacks - Society says "screw you" to the publishers yet again

  at our service meeting it was announced that there is a change in the manner in which magazines are now to be delivered to the congregations.. up until now, magazines were sent to each kingdom hall via ups.

  in years past magazines were sent to each congregation po's home address via ups.. going forward, magazines will be sent only as far as the assembly hall.

  it is the responsibility of each kingdom hall to send brother(s) twice a month to drive out there, pick up the magazines, and return.. this of course saves a little bit of money for the society - shipping larger packages to fewer addresses will cost less.. however, what about the expense to the local congregations?.

  Didnt they discontinue the bookstudy "because of the cost of gas" to the "friends"? Could they POSSIBLY be any cheaper?? Of course they are going to dump this expense on the sheep. Just like the food at assemblies which now everybody has to bring on their own as if they didnt already have enough shit to carry to those things, now they have to bring coolers and milk and babyfood. But they dont want them leaving the assembly site to go to lunch either.

  So now the Kingdom Halls will all have to cooperate with each other and take turns sending someone to drive to the Assembly Halls to pick up these magazines. How long do you suppose it will be before the magazines start to PILE UP at those Assembly sites?

  Nobody wants your stupid magazines BORG!

  I love this though...it is just another sign that things are going into the dumpster. Its not like this is a temporary situation. They never have reversed any of these "money saving" "Jehovahs loving provision" type cheap out changes to date. Its a ONE WAY TICKET to becoming Waco.

  i fail to see why people such as alice in wonderland, bane and others, are regularly singled out as tolls.

  demands are repeatedly made that they are shunned and thrown off the forum; while people like perry, who rant on with pages of controversial drivel, are considered acceptable?.

  i personaly don't view any of them as trolls, just people who feel a need to stand up for what they believe.

  People who come into an obviously exjw website and do what Bane and AIW do, I call that "poking the bear". They poke and prod and anger people deliberately to get a rise out of them and when the bear is tired of taking their shit and strikes back...then they say "Look!! I TOLD you they were nasty dog-returning-to-their-vomit apostates! I TOLD you they were bitter horrible worthless individuals who couldnt live up to Jehovahs standards! Look at all the terrible things they say and do!"

  How did you personally endure the torture during the DC?

  my assembly was a couple of weeks ago and lets just say the only way i could possibly get through that b.s was by having some "funny stuff" before the sessions, then to my car at lunch.

  pretty much slept the days away.

  my wife would constintaly ask me what was wrong with me, i said i was feeling really sick.

  Having small children saved me. My husband who never helped me with the kids, always was off "helping" someplace and never sat through the meetings trying to juggle babies, diapers, naps, hunger, bottles, potty breaks.... so they gave me the excuses I needed to get the hell up out of those horrible hard stadium seats often. Only one year did I manage to sit in the "good seats" at Sportsmans Park where there were nice round cushy seats and carpeting and tables and room to lay the kids on the floor for naps. But I had to learn sign language and sit in the reserved area for them. It was worth it LOL. It just was horrible HORRIBLE sitting through those the years I was pregnant. Holy cow...just shoot me.

  JWs pretended to be someone else at my door.

  this is probably in the wrong section, but i couldn't decide where to put it.

  i was raised a jw and i still suffer effects from that kind of upbringing.. anyway, they said they were local community volunteers and they wanted to give me something related to the community.

  i didn't open the door but they put a jw tract through it.. i don't think it's right to be so devious about recruitment.

  "We are in your neighborhood today doing a volunteer work, helping our neighbors to understand world conditions from the Bibles point of view...." And if they GUESSED we are Jehovahs Witnesses I would act surprised "Why yes! Have to spoke to us before? Did you enjoy the conversation? Do you have any questions for us? Have you seen our latest publications?"

  Oh ugh blech...I just threw up in my mouth remembering what a nauseating fake ass holy person I was.
