Bloody hell. I just wish the whole thing would sink into a nice greasy sink hole. Such bragging, such meticulous attention to detail.........so they can brag. It makes me angry.

Thank you Flipper.
I feel ashamed to even talk about it. Sometimes it feels like all of those children will never receive the love and help they desperately need.
I am looking forward to the Royal Commission this month. I will follow it avidly and I know it won't be a walk in the park for ANY so called religion including the JW one. The questions will be hard and there will be no chance to skirt answering those questions.

when local congregations need some service they will prefer to do business with a jw.

Ever heard of Modesty Clothing? I saw it on the internet last week. I think I have the name correct. I will check it out in a while.
I had a good look at it. It is witness owned and aimed at appropriate dress for women in the JW world. They claim to be a very suitable clothing company in keeping with kingdom interests and modesty.....got to find it now.

All of the evidence that has been raised in and out of court, are proof that an offender does not cease. Some therapists believe it may be some sort if sickness. I don't know about that. I see such a carnal look in the eyes of predators, such a slick method of operating as they eventually lead up to the "act". This is done with full knowledge of all the social taboo's that exist within our Western society.
The evil worldly people who make sure that these offenders pay for their crimes are the ones who have it right. I do agree that this needs to be kept right infront of our faces, in order to stop, apprehend and punish these people.

What in the hell do they mean by "outside the congregation"? Do they mean that the perpetrator has sought help from outside, has a certificate clearing him/her, of any tendency to re offend?
One of the ministerial servants in my congregation, when I was a young teenager, was a complete pervert. It wasn't just me that he targeted either. He went about his perverse way for decades and was never disfellowshipped. He went for other young girls, teenagers who were as fragile as I was. And I had to go to his house for bible studies, which meant I had to be driven by him to his house. He always stopped along the coast road for a "chat" about my feelings. He was prying into my young mind and trying to groom me into his .............I don't know what. His hand rubbing my thigh all the time...
One day I got out of the car. It was a really rainy, windy day and I was scared. My heart was pounding in my chest and I just wanted to run and run. He got out of the car and tried to calm me down. He did calm me down by changing the topic and talking about his wife and sons. I got back in the car and went to his home where he proceeded to give his wife a huge tongue kiss that went on forever. He did this infront of me and his sons.
Sorry. I can't shake some of the images away. They come back at times. Anyway. He was warned eventually.......that's all that ever happened to him

i stopped going in my heart properly in nov 2013, but i went to a couple of meetings to support a love one that was df'd and tried to teach them a little ttatt.. now another df'd loved one is coming to see me today and will likely encourage me to try and get ri'd, and i want to support her.

Sometimes I go to a meeting. I go to see what is happening and to see if I have made a mistake in refusing this religion in the past. I can't explain it very well, it's just a sort of 'compulsion' sometimes. I even kid myself that I believe it all..........until the meeting starts that is. And then some terrible twisting of scripture happens or is not even used to substantiate some claim. This happens quite a lot nowadays.
Then there are the boast fests. These have become truly amazing spectacles of sheer arrogance and self righteousness. And then there is the blatant money grabbing that happens at every meeting. It's so materialistic compared to when I was young. Or perhaps I did not notice it.
I suppose you may still have a lingering niggle of doubt and going with a friend may be one way of allaying that doubt. I'm guessing, that's all. I may be completely wrong Kate.

Over here in Australia, in the West. There is going to be a greater emphasis on using the auditoriums for assemblies, which in turn will be smaller assemblies held with greater frequency. I think it will be up to seven assemblies (all the same of course) to make sure everyone gets the same information.
The reason given, is that the the venues are way too expensive to rent for the large assemblies we used to have. I asked if there was some problem with money. "Yes" I was told. I kept a low reaction rate to this as I don't want to raise suspicion. This did come from an elder though.

i'm sorry that inadvertently i've likely taught many to judge and as such see that racism permeates every corner of the jw world, else why else would someone be of the world, or even inactive.
i'm sorry i sat in on a jc, and voted to df.

Ministry Cars, is one business that is JW owned. Bennet signs is another.
It would not be hard for the society to deny the used vehicle one as the number and wording is very WT. They are a litigious mob and would have no problem taking some company to court if it was riding on the WT logo etc
. Ministry Ideaz is another online shop for all things WT. I saw the receipt whilst taking care of an elder and his wife's house. I must look up some more. I know for a fact that the car one is WT based, even if loosely. There are also the large signs that have to be made for each respective hall or assembly.....
