Village Idiot. What is it that you don't like about this proposal? Is it not a way of ensuring that people measure up to a certain standard of competence in thier chosen life calling. It could be teaching literature, caring for the disabled, and also an accountability for those who may profess to be in teacher or carer mode for ones spiritual growth and safety. It is pointless to complain about a problem then complain when a solution is presented.

Cedars leaked letter requested to be taken down by WTBTS

i don't know if this is already posted so sorry people if it is.

cedars site has had a request to take down the leaked letter regarding changes to the theocratic ministry school and other issues.. the reason given by wt is that it is a "copyright" issue.

of course this validates the letters authenticity even more.. have a good day or night people.

i have been pondering about this for a while.

i wrote to cedars at some point an offered to help translate his articles into spanish but the answer was that they had all of their efforts committed.

i wrote to paul grundy and never got an answer.

Google translations also allow for improved translations as they go along. For example, if an article is missing such an "a" or "and", you are allowed to correct this grammatical error. In Spanish, the same principle would apply.

I have done it when reading something in another language. It 's not too bad. It's a start anyway. Better than just talking about it.

do you remember the wt lawyer trying to get justice mcclelland to accept a new and improved report from the wt "expert", monica applewhite?.

the wt lawyer even managed to squeeze more time from the commission for applewhite to prepare her report.

funny thing is, applewhite never submitted that report.. i guess she has been too busy with catholic business...no time for the wt dudes.

Orpan, I've been looking for it too. It is nowhere to be found. I wonder if they just dumped her as too "incredible for belief". I recall her defeated expression at the end of Angus Stewarts probing investigation regarding her credentials.

From that point on the game was completely lost. He "expertness" was deflated, she could hardly wait to get off that chair. I'll just bet she was furious at WT for putting in such a bad position. I'm speculating of course, but I have watched it a few times and it never ceases to amaze me that she was so ill prepared. Her testimony never got off the ground.

Removal of Tetragrammaton from Early Greek Manuscripts

a while ago i posted on another thread that i had been told by some witnesses that the tetragrammaton had been in the original christian greek scriptures but had been removed when apostacy came into the church .

i did not know where this came from at the time .however while looking something else up i came across this .as i could not find the original thread i have started a new one .here is a quote from nwt reference edition 1984 :-.

" matthew made more than a hundred quotations from the inspired hebrew scriptures.

Thanks for all that information people. I had no idea that three letters were the sum total of what I thought was the Tetragrammaton. Question. What does the name or expression Trismegistus mean, does it not mean "thrice greatest"? Could this have anything to do with Christ?

This is not a well-put question, but it is the best I can do in trying to find out where this expression came from and how it relates to the Tetragrammaton.

That site is virtually impossible to join without including a blood sample for DNA. They want to know far too much and I think that alone is outright intrusive. It's delusional at the very least, they sound manic at times when admiring this or that GB speaker. I don't think any site that is purely discussion based, has the right to force such intimate details out of a person.

I'm not! This was at the local congregation just prior to my expected baptism. It was to establish that I was who I said I was. Bloody hell, what loving trusting people......
