Freaking out a Jehovah's Witness

he nevertheless clings to many of the beliefs like a protective cloak, and every once in a while i trigger a dissonant episode where my reality clashes with his.
recently he listened in on my work research, a video of a futurist describing the a potential "disruptive change" event in the next fifteen years, as our culture shifts to autonomic (driverless) vehicles.

) after the creation of adam and eve according to the bible , relating to events up till his time.
{ why did jehovah god wait 2000 + years to record this momentous event in history ?

Nicely put! I agree with you. What has been difficult for me to digest regarding Jesus was his miracles! Performing so many miracles (good this for the people) yet received virtually no response from the recipients. Even criminals come to risk their lives for their leader when he is in trouble. In the case of Jesus, virtually none of those millions who received miracles came forward to support him when he was being falsely being tried and put to death, nor to preach for him after his death—even Lazarus who received resurrection did not come forward. This situation can arise only if he has not performed such miracles. He may have been a good Guru, like any others who taught good things, and died like any of them!

You say: “there's really not anything all that special about consciousness” which is the source of all intuition which precedes many of even scientific inventions!
You are free to feel the way you do—that’s your choice. However time is infinite, your inner self is infinite. You have more than enough time to feel differently—no need of hurry!
However, this is the doctrine (man is no different from animal, having no immortality of soul ....) that I first doubted as a JW. Later I myself experienced first-hand proof for the existence of such a thing, and the possibility of communication even with souls after their physical death. One can empty all his mundage, wasteful thoughts, become pure (with a clear mind and clean heart), go into his ORIGINAL NATURE of SILENCE and come in the same wave-length as other souls—including the Supreme Soul, God Himself.
“Learn to be SILENT. Let your quiet mind listen and absorb.” (Pythagorus, also compare Psalm 46:10) If God or any other soul is the target, and thoughts the arrows of concentration, connection is achieved by focusing our thoughts on the target. Where our thoughts go, so too our energy and attention! The target soul too draws us near. Just as when the eyes of two friends meet, and there is a discernible exchange, similarly when we connect to God or any other souls, there is automatic transmission of energy. [People, out of frustration, may reject terming consciousness as energy, or term such treatise on consciousness as pseudo-science. Such claims appear because of their closed mind-set]. However, mind is like a parachute, it works BEST when open. If you want your mind to work FOR you (rather than AGAINST you), be loving to yourself freeing yourself from the self-imprisonment. Then you will realize that Soul is intelligent energy. This energy appears to function as vibrational waves (similar to electromagnetic force) but without the limitations of charged particles of matter. Soul energy does not appear to be uniform. Like a finger-print, each soul has a unique identity in its formation, composition and vibrational distribution.
Very few people make the effort, and benefit themselves. One among them is the German Mystic Meister Eckhart who declared:
“The very best and utmost of attainment in this life is to remain STILL and let God act and speak through you.”

By the same token, you can say:
Traffic jams are caused by complex systems involving internal combustion engines composed of pistons, turbine blades or a nozzle ….. transforming chemical energy into mechanical energy.
Or you could even say:
Cycle-balance is an "emergent property" of the two wheels joined together with some iron rods.

Everything is energy. Consciousness is made of conscious energy, hence what is applicable to all forms of energy is applicable to conscious energy (called mind) too.

And this connectivity is not just at a macro level of stars and galaxies that we know are closely paired by gravitational forces - or even brains, consciousness and beings - but at the most fundamental substratum of subatomic particles.
An experiment conducted at Chapman University in California shows a new kind of quantum link that could be happening everywhere in the cosmos all the time between all particles -whether connected or not. If we bring it down to the level of our minds, then the same thing should be applicable. We're all connected too.

Why are there NO articles about JW near death experiences and death bed visions?
by freeatlast36 inmy dad died recently and was a long time jw.
we have had some interesting experiences with his passing and have been researching for other jw stories and there are none.
anyone know why?

Logic behind shunning!

However, JWs do not realize that these writers are known for writing things that make NO SENSE at all. 1) John wrote: "No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man.” (John 3:13) While Jesus was talking to Nichedemus towards the beginning of his ministry, he had not ascended into heaven! Then why is such statement in the writings of John? Because he felt like putting them!
2) Paul wrote: “"If my falsehood enhances God's truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?" (Romans 3:7) If he proudly and publicly believes that ‘falsehood can enhance truthfulness,’ what else can’t he write?
These writers are SIMPLY INCAPABLE of getting the sense of what Jesus himself said: “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray?” (Mathew 18:2)
So what is the logic behind shunning those leaving JWs? NO LOGIC!
