  Had any weird dreams recently?

  so, i'll go first.. i dreamt last night that i was still at uni, i said goodbye to one of my lecturers.

  then ulrika jonsson (former weather girl, shooting stars captain, and swedish nymphomaniac) gave me a lift home in her car - wtf?!

  she kept trying to change the cd whilst trying to drive (reaching on the floor, looking for a cd).

  'i have prayed, and confessed my sins to my god, i'm not telling them (the elders) anything'.

  .. could this be a significant sign that there maybe a small dent in the armour of an active jw?

  or is it just a case of 'keep your nose out' ?

  I'm guessing that this individual has had bad experiences in dealing with the elders previously or knows of other people who have such experiences. It could also be that individual trying to say: Hey, it's between me & God - don't report me to the elders!

  It shows that they do not trust the elders. They know that there would likely be unwanted consequences & repercussions if they confess anything to the elders, so they are not talking to them. Talking to the elders usually brings about more problems, so why bother?

  the more i think about it, the more i feel an extreme dislike for the apostle paul.

  he was on par with hitler in his treatment of the jews before he "saw the light".

  he replaced jesus teachings of love and mercy with a more legalistic, pharisaical concept of devotion to god.. any evil person can come to believe in god and worship him if the scales were literally and miraculously removed from his eyes.

  Agreed. Like what happened in 1 Kings 13: 11 - 24. What the heck was that all about???

  So a prophet of God deceived another prophet who trusted this prophet because he was a prophet and God punishes the poor prophet for being deceived by another prophet of God??? This shit is unbelievable!

  I Hate the Sound of the Word Jehovah

  listening to clips of the latest manipulative video from the watchtower i realised how much i detest that word - jehovah.. sometimes i have thought it would be interesting to observe a meeting or part of a convention.

  every time i heard that word i would be unable to stay in my seat.. i have a visceral reaction every time i hear it.

  it stands for so much that i have contempt for.

  Jonah was another asshole. He preached a message of judgement to the Ninevites, and the result was that they actually repented & turned back from their bad ways. But this was "highly displeasing" to Jonah & he was actually angry that God did not destroy them! What a prick this guy was!

  I miss my family so much. I thought I was over it but I have breakdowns every few months thinking about my family

  as most of you know i have been shunned by my family for 2 years because of a photo posted on facebook of me kissing another girl at a party.

  the matter was not dealt with fairly but it is over now and i am 100% certain that jdub org is a cult.

  but i miss my family so much.

  Do what you have to. Since their rules are unfair, you don't have to play fair either. Attend with the aim of getting reinstated, then after you are, pretend to be stumbled over something & blow up the issue. Then use that as a reason to fade. Do it in such a way that people would symphathize with you & not blame you entirely for fading
