All things . . . that you want men to do to you, you also must do to them (but we protect pedophiles).—Matt. 7:12.
What are some ways in which we follow the Golden Rule in our ministry? We treat each householder as an individual (who would die at Armageddon if they do not listen to our message). We show respect for the householder’s home and other property (especially those homes we would like to have for ourselves if they are destroyed at Armageddon). We endeavor to participate in the ministry at times when householders are most likely to be at home and receptive (or if they are not at home & not receptive by means of our literature carts!). And we introduce our message in a way that is well-received in the local territory (a disguised version of "Listen to us or you would die at Armageddon!"). Many benefits come from treating those in our territory as we would like to be treated (we don't like strangers knocking on our doors & pushing their beliefs on us, by the way). By acting in a kind and considerate manner, we are letting our light shine, are underscoring the value of Scriptural principles, and are giving glory to our heavenly Father (who guides us by means of 7 old men at New York). (Matt. 5:16) We may attract more people to the truth by the way we approach them (as evidenced by the phenomenal increase in our yearbook's publisher statistics this year!). (1 Tim. 4:16) Whether those to whom we preach accept the Kingdom message or not, we have the satisfaction of knowing that we are doing our best to accomplish our ministry (we will have the satisfaction of seeing all you worldly people perish at Armageddon!).—2 Tim. 4:5. w14 5/15 2:17, 18

60:22.. perhaps we live in an area where there are few witnesses or where we do not see a lot of immediate results in our preaching work.
Heaven:
It was this kind of logic I used on my Dad when he said the bad economy during the 'Great Recession' we recently went through was the reason Armageddon was so close. If a bad economy is the reason Armageddon will come then shouldn't it have already arrived during the 'Great Depression' of the 1930s and not the recent 'Great Recession'? Crickets ensued... and I got the deer-in-the-headlights look from Dad.
On the other hand, if things are going well, they would say that Armageddon is near because peace & security would come before Armageddon! Either way they think they are right - problems = the end is near, when things are good = the end is near! It's almost impossible to reason with them!

The little one will become a thousand.—Isa. 60:22.
Perhaps we live in an area where there are few Witnesses or where we do not see a lot of immediate results in our preaching work. Yet, remembering that the Kingdom arrangement can overcome all obstacles will strengthen us to endure. For example, when Brother Edwin Skinner arrived in India in 1926, there were only a handful of Witnesses in that country. Initially, there was little progress, and the work was described as “hard going.” But he kept on preaching and saw how the Kingdom message overcame great obstacles. In 2013 there were over 37,000 active Witnesses in India, with over 108,000 attending the Memorial. In the same year that Brother Skinner arrived in India, the work had just started in Zambia. Now over 170,000 publishers preach there, and 763,915 attended the Memorial in 2013. This means that 1 in every 18 persons in Zambia attended. What amazing growth! w1412/15 1:8, 9
Well, not that amazing - considering that JW's number just over 8 million in a world populated by 7.5 BILLION people!

Less than 2 years. Hang in there, baby! You're almost there! =)
i believe all our worst nightmare are believing money will make our life's complete.
i am not talking about money providing life's comforts, but i am mortified that contentment and happiness always requires " more money"..ummm i need a window cleaner, a flashy car and a 50inch t.v screen to be happy.
money...well in my opinion we need money integrity to be happy, but it seems such a waste of life to search for the making of money more than ....well what i mean "hey" most of us have more money than most, and would the making or having more money really make you happier?.
MarkofCane
I do agree money does not necessary bring you happiness. But let me say that as a witness we were always discouraged from having nice things or would criticize you as being materialistic, you couldn't take a nice vacation because others would make you feel guilty and say "must be nice that you can afford it"?
Agreed. Congs are full of miserable people who are bitter, easily jealous, & envious. They don't like to see others being better off than them & can't stand to see other people being happy, enjoying themselves, & having a good time!
