  so, first off, after my learning ttatt i've been feeling so much better!

  my depression is gone, i'm so much more motivated, i can do everything i've always wanted to do but was forbidden from doing.

  now, my best friend is still in, however, i feel that he may have a chance at waking up.

  a long list of articles detailing how you can give money to them.. not a single mention of feeding, clothing or sheltering the poor, but an in depth discussion of how you can donate money, jewelry, property, both while you are living and after you are dead.. charitable giving - what a loving arrangement..

  The "martydom" of witnesses!

  arrrghh...it amazes me!.

  i have just seen more witnesses from "my" congregation manning the "literature carts".. it is over 40c / 100f temp, with very high humidity as well... and there they are...in the heat...like martyrs....earning "god points".. they are being ignored by the very few passers by....all of whom are trying to get out of the heat.. what is the point!?!

  In a part during the TMS, my cong was told that it DOES NOT matter if nobody responds to the literature carts / trolleys. The most important thing is that everytime we are there, it serves as a silent witness to everyone who passes by. Productivity / effectiveness is not as important as bearing witness to Jehovah through the use of such "innovative" methods

  well, it's finally happened!.

  im no longer an ms.. as many would know from our chats via this forum, i've seen it coming for a while....and while the way it was done stinks, i'm really happy to finally be free!.

  " holman christian standard bible; galations 6:9.. i just now remembered an old wt article about the things that discourage us about our imperfect selves.

  one such disappointment in ourselves is that we know we should continue doing good unto others, but we're simply worn out.

  Like CC, I really agree with your post, Magnum, and can relate to it very well as I have been there & done that myself countless times! 

  The problem is, very little of what we do is actually wholehearted or heartfelt. We give a talk or deliver a meeting part not because we want to, but because we HAVE to. All the topics are assigned to us with our having to refer to WT publications as the basis for our parts, and since we are NOT able to choose the topic nor have the choice of selecting the reference material and have to stick to a fixed outline on top of that AND did not even volunteer to do it in the first place, the end result was usually a boring & dry talk with a lack of quality, heartfeltness, & sincerity. Many who deliver talks & meeting parts just do it for the sake of doing it just because they have to & they simply can't wait to get it over with. Assignments are usually viewed as burdens & those who are chosen to deliver them (or have the "privilege" of delivering the part, as some would say) often fail to motivate the weary audience as they are weary themselves!
