even if you don't regard yourself as a practicing jw, some may view you simply as inactive, a lost sheep, etc.. if you were baptized but not disfellowshipped or disassociated, you may still be a jw---right?
your thoughts please..

st. petersburg like any group of spirited salesmen, this crew swaps stories about the big scores, those times when people couldn't wait to buy what they were selling..
"we were out in service on sept. 11," remembers power-suited jonathan burns, his colleagues nodding.
Mya, is paired with mom Angela, says she gets a lot out of public ministry. Like what? "I get treats at the end of the day. I get Slushies.
LOL!!!
if we are in the congregation, do you think our comments or questions actually reach elders or others in the congregation?
do our comments on this board affect witnesses to the point of questioning their faith?
"Do our comments on this board affect Witnesses to the point of questioning their faith?"
Yes. I was an active JW when I joined this board early last year. Now I'm no longer one
ok this is how the conversation went.. me= is cousin x (not jw) still going out with that arab guy.. mum=no.
he returned home and ended up marrying some one from his home country.
cousin x was telling me that she was quite thank full it ended as it never would of worked because his mother hated her because she wasn't muslim.
Critically think??? I don't see the "thinking" part...
in may's "we will never solicit for money, but now we're going to solicit you for the next hour" broadcast, we kept hearing about all the "facts" that the gb would like for us to know.. hmm...what facts did they leave out?.
-- $millions have been spent in out-of-court settlements of child abuse cases.
-- $untold amounts are being spent on legal defense of wt policies related to child abuse.
i read a comment on another thread that made me think of this topic.. how many catchphrases are used by the gb and organisation in an attempt to control or gain power or prevent questioning?
feel free to list as many as you can think of!.
i'll start:.
earlier this morning, i posted off to the the institute of engineers an application for membership as an "engineering associate":.
- today being just over 40 years since the congregation's retards elders made me abandon my apprenticeship.. (in this part of the world, the pre-1975 hype was taken to that level.
not being content to prevent young persons attending university, they went one step further and treated with hostility any youngster who would "tie up five years of their lives" by entering into an apprenticeship.
i think the lesson on the blood issue in this story is obvious.. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/hero-sikh-man-breaks-strict-5711701.
JW's fail to understand the true meaning of Matthew 12: 1-13
As Jesus said, he wants mercy, NOT sacrifice! Any death due to refusal of a blood transfusion is nothing more than a meaningless sacrifice
Furthermore, blood is a symbol of life, NOT life! By refusing to accept a life-saving blood transfusion, JW's elevate the symbol of life to be more important than life itself, which is totally wrong!
I don't believe in the Sikh religion, but congrats to this man for using common sense to do what is right
the first step to fading is to begin missing the meetings.. "if" anyone misses you, a quality excuse must be at the ready.
this will produce empathy toward you as opposed to suspicion.. 1. car problems ( don't mention that you caused them ).
2. stuck on the phone resolving insurance, billing, etc issues.. 3. sick ( of the meetings ).
I was STUMBLED by... (insert reason)
