Coitus interruptus... that was the term I was trying to recall! Didn't know that was translated into 'masturbation' in some languages
Seriously, masturbation is not.mentioned at all in the Bible. This is even admitted by the org:
10 What is the Bible’s view of masturbation?
▪ Answer: The Bible does not specifically mention masturbation—the deliberate self-stimulation that produces sexual arousal and orgasm. However, God’s Word commands Christians: “Deaden, therefore, your body members that are upon the earth as respects fornication, uncleanness, [and improper] sexual appetite.”—Colossians 3:5.
Masturbation fosters a distorted and self-centered view of sex. The Bible assures us that God can impart “power beyond what is normal” to those who make a sincere effort to break this habit.—2 Corinthians 4:7; Philippians 4:13.
Questions: If masturbation is so wrong, why is it not specifically mentioned in the Bible? If God can be so specific about far less significant things in the Mosaic Law, why can't he also be specific about masturbation if that is so wrong? If the scriptures quoted above are in support of non-masturbation, why are they so vague that they go against 1 Corinthians 4: 6 if used to apply to masturbation? If masturbation is so wrong, why is it that masturbation itself is not a disfellowshipping offense but viewing pornography is? If God can impart "power beyond what is normal" to those who make a sincere habit to break this habit, why was it that I received no such power despite making an earnest & sincere effort???
