In this era of modern technology where instant & conclusive answers are expected & interaction is crucial, prayer has lost its relevance. People do not want to be kept waiting on an invisible source who does not interact with them & does not provide any concrete evidence of his help! -

How many of us know by heart the lyrics of our favourite songs? Almost everyone does! Do we need a song book or lyric sheet to sing these songs? No!
Since true worship is the most important thing in the lives of JW's, you should expect them to know by heart the lyrics of their "Kingdom Melodies," right? Well... no! The best most of them can do is to memorize the words to the chorus, that's about it. The rest is just a big blur...
It would be funny to imagine the Israelites pausing to taking out their song books everytime when they sing praises to God, right? But that's exactly what JW's are doing... LOL
You know what the main problem is? The songs suck! No wonder they are referred to as "Kingdom Maladies!" No surprise that JW's don't know them by heart!

Gross! Grooming of young brothers in the KH to do more for Jehobadahhh and his organ-nigh-say-shun! I saw it myself.
by macys inso there is this young brother probably 14 or 15 and the elders are already grooming him to do more for jehobadahhh.
most of the elders in this kh are old like 60+ and sometimes there are not enough brothers to do the mics or sound so you will see a 70 year old elder forced into action.
almost comical to see a brother who thinks instagram is an email service try to operate the sound system and projector as he plays the wrong song or brings the screen down during a prayer.

And the elders can't talk to you as a friend. They talk to you in a friendly way like a boss.
Friendly? Not always. But I strongly agree that it is almost impossible to be close friends with elders, unless you are on the same level as them. Many elders have a superiority complex which arises from the elevated position of authority that they have, which translates into their treating the rest of the flock as lesser ones who are inferior to them. Many of the elders in my cong are critical & judgemental. I never was able to count any elder as a close friend thoughout my time as a JW. Not a single one!

However, a person doesn't have to DO anything to be disliked in the Witness religion. You just have to BE "too" [fill in the blank] intelligent, successful, attractive, confident. Just take your pick.
For me, too normal. From a "worldly" perspective. I realized that I would have to be abnormal to be a good JW!

I never understood how David did all of those evil deeds and was forgiven over and over again. Jehovah did not strike him dead but Lots wife did the simple act of turning to look at her possessions being destroyed and BAM...dead on the spot.
Same thing with that guy Uzzah. Killed for merely touching the ark, and he did so for a good reason! Jokehovah must have been in a shitty mood that day!
9 But when they came to the threshing floor of Chiʹdon, Uzʹzah thrust his hand out and grabbed hold of the Ark, for the cattle nearly upset it. 10 At that Jehovah’s anger blazed against Uzʹzah, and He struck him down because he had thrust his hand out to the Ark, and he died there before God.

Interesting article about the evidence of the Jewish Exodus
by cappytan inthe reality is that there is no evidence whatsoever that the jews were ever enslaved in egypt.
yes, there's the story contained within the bible itself, but that's not a remotely historically admissible source.
i'm talking about real proof; archeological evidence, state records and primary sources.

Furthermore, there is NO EVIDENCE whatsoever of Pharoah's army (armour, weapons, chariots) etc. at the bottom of the Red Sea! -

Lady drives car into Kingdom Hall
by Sugar Shane inright smack into (what looks like) the front entry!.
http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2016-03-13/78yo-female-driver-crash-jehovahs-witnesses-church/7243268.
this was in australia, but the khs i've seen (in the us) are designed so that you'd have to almost intentionally want to ram a building to cause this kind of damage.

I bet many of the JW's there would be caring more about the damage that was caused RATHER than caring more about how the elderly sister is doing!
