Does The State Have The Right To Quarantine Someone Because They Might Have Ebola?

no doubt you have heard about the nurse that thumbed her nose to the state and went out of the house in spite of being ordered to stay at home.

what is your opinion on this?.

I think if I got exposed to ebola I would tell all and sundry ( via txt or email, obviously) that I have been exposed,

so out of concern for others I will be at home monitoring my temp and taking note of any new symptoms

for the next twenty one days.

I am almost positive everyone would understand and support that decision.

Where does personal responsibility lie in this.

The story of the girl sacrificed at the temple?

i'm sorry i don't remember her name but in the story her father promises god the first from his house would be sacraficed.

as many know here she was indeed killed and not just given over to temple service.

proving this to a jw would be hard, but i'm wondering was there ever a mention of woman being used at the temple other then when the temple was also a place for asherah worship?

just a random thought - but isn't it interesting that somebody like ashton kutcher can communicate with 16 million followers at the snap of his fingers on twitter, but god apparently needs 7 old dudes in brooklyn to pass a message along to half that many people?.

doesn't that seem just a tad bit inefficient?.

today i had to drive by several homes of dubs i knew most of my life and it kicked off a longing i have for my siblings and the faux-friends i grew up with.

not necessarily the people in and of themselves, but people who knew me way back when.

being raised in the borg the only "friends" i had were indoctrinated.

When going from door to dooor I would meet people that said;

"JWs break up families"

They were right.

Creating new memories takes time.

i just realized that all these dates that the borg have said the end would come on or by and then it didn't happen, have stumbled me.

why such a fascination and trying to divine the answer from scripture when scripture plainly says only the father knows the day and the hour?

by their predictions, they actually sent many christians on the path of date-based worship insted of faith-based worship.. if they have stumbled me, then who is reponsible for that?.
