  Jehovah's Witnesses don't just have a dress policy they have a all gays are wicked and worthy of destruction policy.

  I see it as the WT trying passive -aggressively to create a hostile environment for anyone they don't like.

  Message to all the sisters with "masculine hairstyles": if an elder approaches you about your hairstyle feel free to get him in a headlock and punch him in the junk.

  I'm glad you have had success with this method, but sadly and frustratingly, the JWs I have attempted to reason with have no problem whatsoever contradicting themselves, the bible or their own publications.

  I have concluded that fully indoctrinated people are contradiction-blind and inconsistency-deaf.

  Ok, so we probably all are to some degree, but dubs make an artform out of it.

  How the hell with individual elders interpret girly mannerisms and butch hairstyles?

  The other thing is, most elders I have known would not have the guts required to take this issue up with anyone, so what will they do just have vague local needs parts not specifically mentioning anyone?

  How the hell do you enforce rules on stuff like body language and a person's speaking voice for god sake?

  Will the elders start having deep-voice lessons for all gay-sounding brothers?

  Just think about it, people.

  I'd call it impossible to enforce such dumb-ass rules.

  The more the elders become style-nazis the more people will wake up.

  At some point you have to ask yourself if this religion is worth all this shit.

  For many JWs this may be their personal tipping point.

  I only see a win-win here.

  Elders harass certain individuals over their dress and grooming (nothing new about that.)

  Certain individuals get pissed off over it, wake up to ttatt and leave =win for the individual.

  If certain individuals do not comply they are not allowed to go in field service =win for the individiual (yaaay no fs!)

  when somebody posted this on fb, i was anxious to see how ridiculous it would be, probably worse then the gb prophecies, etc.

  after watching the clip, i honestly don't know what to believe.

  at the very least it's very entertaining and interesting.

  i remember that every time when my father and i came home from the meeting, my mother (who stayed at home for my disabled brother) asked us "who was attending and who wasn't attending".. and then, we took some time to drink coffee and went through the list who was there and who wasn't.

  there after there was an opinion made why someone was absent and what this meant in relation with his strength of believe.. just curious, do you recognize this?

  I think the reason why we can make similar observations re witness behavior is because we were all hit with same indoctrination stick.
