Divisions among ex jw activists

i just watched a youtube discussion between marc & cora and unwitness.

it was regarding their unhappiness over a few prominent individuals in the ex jw community, one individual in particular.

this individual who on the one hand produces excellent videos highlighting wt issues, yet has been known to peeve a lot of ex jw activists off.

just one week from the zone overseer's visit is the announcement that the magazine production by the australia branch will end in a few months.

the task being transferred to the japan branch.

while i'm not 100% certain, i understand that this effectively ends all major printing bar perhaps tracts, handbills and other loose items.

the problem is i have a baptized witness going out on service door to door giveing comments at kh who for the last 4 years has had sex with at least 10 prostitutes and regularly takes drugs ie speed the cong has no idea he's doing this he says he will never go to elders for fear his family will shun him if df so he continues i know because he tells me everything should i tell the elders or not.

Yeah, saw this coming.

The message from "Mother" would go something like

Dear Australia Branch

You naughty naughty boys down under, have royally screwed up and made us look stupid in the process so as a consequence we need a "head on a plate" to show the world we care about children.

We were planning on pulling the plug down there anyway but on consideration we decided it would look better to wait until after the ARC. That way the brothers and the aussie press will blame you for the problem and conclude it's your mishandling of child abuse cases rather than our policies that are the problem.

Suffer in your jocks, we all need discipline from Jehovah... bwahahahahaha

i ran into an older sister who has always been very sweet.. it was a friendly chat...yet she pushed for a reason why my family have been missing from meetings for some time.

the question was deflected, until it just had to be said: "well, there have been some troubling and disturbing issues about the society especially the way things were handled during the royal commission, as well as many other issues".. she quickly cut in and said "but why would you want to know these things?

its best not to research and look at those sort of things - so we don't get upset!".

I used to think WT started out with good intentions and just turned to shit after a time through corruption and power struggles. Now I know it was conceived in caca and has been producing it and feeding it to the sheep ever since. Some people prefer a diet of caca and corruption - what can yah do.

Is reasoning with a JW the answer?

when i first left the watchtower society, i can remember being very eager to learn new information, especially information which pertained to discrediting the watchtower organization.

i called it "the cage stage" .

this excitement and newfound change in worldview completely rocked my world.

I do not think it possibe to "reason" with any indoctrinated cult member, not in the true sense of the word "reason" any way. You can plant seeds of truth while they are not looking, but full on reasoning with logic and honest and broad assessment of a subject that threatens their world view? No, they will mentally cut you off everytime, and, if they feel you have gone too far (easy to do with a dub) they will politely pretend to "look that up" and just avoid you like the spiritual plague in the future.

Truth seeding is the best way to go, if you have the time and the patience for it that is.

Did Freddy Franz receive secret instructions from a Jewish aquaintance?

i recently met a sister who told me she heard of a story that the late president of the watchtower society, mr. freddy franz, received secret instructions on how to direct the organization from a jewish acquaintance.. is this a conspiracy theory or could there be some truth to it?.

i like how it looks in other people but not for myself.. this is a phrase i have heard often from my wife.

now i am to a point where i am trying to figure it out if this is something all women do or say.

i can understand how you would say this if you were talking about a type of clothing that doesn't go with your figure, except that you may add the disclaimer... "if i had that figure i would wear this".
