Physical differences between races and gender is real ask any Dr what the disease and conditions certain races and gender are prone to get. Human rights on the other hand are a completely different subject. It's a pity people seem to confuse these two seperate issues so much it shuts down interesting, relevant discussion with a cry of racism or sexism.

Why is the white race so different?
by Crazyguy inwhat i'm saying is the white race is the only one that has a verity of eye and hair colors , so what gives?
is it that this race was influenced genetically by a group of pre humans that didn't mix with other races?

Leaving it all behind.
by Jazzbo ini haven't been on an exjw site for months and months.
i frankly am way past the point where i define myself as an exjw, i am who i am and it doesn't have really anything to do with the way i was raised or spent a considerable portion of my life, i also refuse to be bound by witness requirements as to leaving, contact with witnesses, or some kind of responsibility to whack people who seem perfectly happy as witnesses over the head with 'the truth about the truth'.
i have recently run in to a few people that seems to simply obsess with their lives as witnesses and why they left and in some cases the way they were treated or mistreated, or the need to "do" something.

Yes, you are criticizing and if you have "moved on" so successfully why bother to come back after "months and months" to bitch about the "few people" you "ran into" recently who "obsess" with their lives as witnesses? What do want a medal?

Let me get this straight according to today's wt a person can make his own decisions
by poopie inon whether or not she chooses to shun?.

Yeah it's hard to hear but JWs have the right to say no to any of WTs requirements. If every JW woke up and realized this the borg's strangle hold on people's lives would dissolve overnight. It frustrates me no end to see grown-ass people not making their own decisions regarding shunning, two words come to mind learned helplessness!
Be a rebel say NO to WT then let the butthurt commence.

Lawsuit Settlement Amounts
by Richard Oliver ini have a legitimate question and i am not trying to start a fight.
i keep reading that there were 6 child abuse lawsuits that settled for 13 million dollars.
how do people like barbara anderson or jwsurvey or jwfacts come up with this number?

Surely you mean if the Bible requires WT to warn since it's the Bible WT claims to obey first rather than The Law of any state or country. WT elders are the shepherds are they not why would the shepherds not protect the sheep by not warning them of a threat to their offspring. Why would the shepherds allow the threat to roam freely amongst the flock and visit the home of people outside the flock for recruiting purposes.
Wake up to yourself WT is not just a secular organization with no moral duty to warn and protect based solely on law. WT claims to follow a higher law the law of love where there is no just law that is just law!!!

Russell's aleged freemasonry on JWfacts.com
by NikL inpaul has written an interesting piece on jwfacts.com .
https://jwfacts.com/watchtower/blog/russell-not-a-freemason.php.
anyway, it jogged my memory and reminded me of something i thought i would pass on to you.back in the late 80s i had the opportunity to chat with ray franz on the phone and i asked him about this very thing.he didn't say yes or no to russel's masonic connection but what he said was something like, "he is buried in the masonic section of the cemetery so draw your own conclusion.

Frankly, I don't give a damn if Russell received his inspiration from the Bible, Vogue magazine, an all night bourbon bender or a combination of the above it was all BS rantings. What's even more sad his BS was the beginnings of a high control cult that would ruin peoples lives for over a hundred years while making a truckload of money in the process.
He is not the hero WT lyingly paints him to be that I know for sure!

Regardless of where he got his kooky ideas they were not as WT would like its members to believe all immaculately conceived from a pure study of the Bible. WT has whitewashed, omitted and outright lied about Russell's origins, inspirations and obsession with stuff like the pyramids, his crazy-ass beliefs were a franken-theology blend of all sorts of shit.
No wonder people are confused about his connections!

Do JWs Really Bother You?
by minimus inin reality my experience with the witnesses is that they really don't bother me or bother with me which suits me just fine....are you "bothered" by the witnesses at this point of your life?.

Strangely WT apologists bother me more than actual JWs these days, especially ones that have never been a JW.

Oooh, caught a JW colleague telling porkies at work this week.
by nicolaou inthere's a jw 'sister' at work, lovely girl in her mid twenties.
anyway, on monday the union (cwu) called a one day strike in support of colleagues and all union members supported the action as far as i'm aware, except the sister.. she claimed it was 'against her religion' to strike.
bare in mind, she's a fee paying member of the union.. now, a few of my workmates know of my past and asked me if this was really true, that jehovah's witnesses aren't allowed to strike.. we'll, i like this girl and i didn't want to make her look silly but what was i supposed to say after i stopped laughing?

Awkward. It sucks to be a JW, most are incapable of explaining their stand on anything.

Why do you want to know? Why are you so concerned about the borg's legal matters? Why do you never ask a question about doctrine?
Do you think the sites mentioned are being deliberately misleading or lying?
Are you doing market research for the borg?
Are you a mole?

HA the good life --Cart witnessing
by wannaexit inon my way home from work today, i saw the modern day pioneers having a grand old time, relaxing in the sun.
two sprawled on one bench and the other two talking up a storm, with their iced cappuccino, just enjoying the day.
the two carts were a number of feet away.

Their "volunteer" work is helping to maintain the org's charity status that's all it's achieving, it's certainly not helping anyone but WT.
