what question did you ask or want to ask but feel it was wrong ?

mine was regarding the circuit assembly and the amount defecit anounced .. also 1975 i got a stern reply too when i was studying in the 90,s.

48% Capacity at Kingdom Halls - A post on reddit

there was a letter read this week, followed by a talk about all the changes that are coming in the next couple of months regarding merging congregations in the area (va/md/dc) - the letter said that the kh's in the area are only being filled to 48% capacity.

this was music to my ears as i have noticed the decline in attendance in all the neighboring congregations.

they will sell some kingdom halls and merge some congregations.

Why go to meetings when you can catch up on JWdotborg propoganda in the comfort and privacy of your own home - Go figure huh? Can you donate from home as well?

While we have discussed this article before on here it still leaves me shaking my head at the epic mindfuckery of articles like this one.

It also proves for me that the borg knows exactly what it's doing, they are not some benign "nice but misguided" delusional religion they are a cold calculating lying psychopathic organization.

i personally would like to see they get the very best but haven't a clue how to do it what are your benevolent words of wisdom, should a person do a deep research on his own a kind of self medication or should they brush up on some psychology,, who should they trust because after you leave you got big trust issues.. i don't know about you but to me it was a real shocker, i was totally into getting their worthless bull shit out of my head.

i choose the self medicate path and did as must research as time would allow,, science was a biggie for me, it was enjoyable learning to get so much bull shit out of my head..

I don't think it would hurt all JWs especially born-ins to at least familiarize yourself with information explaining narcissism and codependent realtionships and how they relate to life as a JW.

The "Lot" video reminded me of a propoganda version of those asian horror genre movies.

I think the reason they are going in hard on work-shaming the sisters is because more and more sisters must be working - tisk tisk you naughty wives!

I figure by the time a subject like this gets to presentaion stage it was flagged as a problem at least a year ago.

Visiting Japan and saw one of those Carts. What is the purpose of those book carts for the borg?

i'm in japan for three weeks visiting my sister-in-law and brother.

the people are so polite and i came across two female jw using the cart.

it is the same experience i noticed back in the states.

Cart work = volunteers = charity = tax exempt.

The only reason WT does anything to keep their tax free donation $$$.

brother pioneer is doing a lot of carting and having trouble making ends meet.

Guilting the individual members of the congregations that do work to feel responsible for the ones who refuse to look after themselves adequately because they choose instead to advertise for the borg fulltime and for free.

JW Grandparent Drama

my mom and sisters have not had any contact with my family for the past year and a half.. we even recently announced a new pregnancy and none of them acknowledged it or called to say congratulations or anything.. this past week my non-witness grandfather passed away and i had thought that for the sake of his death and funeral, it being "necessary family business" that they would at least be civil in front of our other family.

all of them still ignored me, my sisters didn't even speak to my children at all - to be honest i don't think my kids even knew who they were.

for the sake of my grandmother i made a small attempt at the end of the day to say goodbye to my mother and she kind of just brushed past me and said goodbye without really looking at me.. anyways my grandmother told me later that my mom spoke to her and said "i love my daughter and i love my grandchildren and i'm so upset that she won't allow me to see them".

In any situation other than "religious rights" this type of "family" behavior would be called out for what it is - petty, passive aggressive and disgracefully using religion as a weapon.

Ritualistic behaviour within the JW faith

i was thinking about how the society criticises other faiths such as catholics because of their ritualistic procedures.. but couldn't it be said that witnesses have their own deeply ritualistic behaviours?.

think about the prayers said at meetings.

they all have to follow the same basic style and theme, and include the same basic content.. what about the ritualistic procedures of the memorial, and the passing of emblems - even to the servers and speaker (although they actually handle them more than everyone, they do their own special act of passing them to each other).
