  Thinking about the end of the Watchtower

  first, a word about the watchtower’s financial position: nobody (outside the watchtower organization) knows.

  the wtbs is not required to disclose its finances, and doesn’t.

  we can speculate, but that is all we are doing.

  Strangely and sadly if WT collapsed I think many JWs would still refuse to believe that WT is anything other than poor pure persecuted Christ's brothers and continue to pray for them and live as JWs.

  Those that are left with the WT security rug pulled out from under them will have to figure it out just like any of the millions of people worldwide leftover from controlling regimes that fell suddenly had to cope and figure it out.

  The German people who were in support of Hilter had to figure it out. People are resilient.

  That's life.Things change.

  Will Watchtower target the inactive?

  if watchtower has no reason to df ones.

  they have just become inactive.

  do you all think wt will begin a witch hunt (df'ing) for these inactive ones?

  Sail away said it. No. The inactive are demonized and stigamatized enough that most JWs stay away from "weak ones" of their own accord.

  How Rutherford did a backflip (flop) off the Great Pyramid

  in 1924, judge rutherford published an article which referred to the great pyramid as "the scientific bible" and added that measurements on the grand gallery inside the great pyramid confirmed the dates 1874, 1914 and 1925.. 1925 was the famous blowout date for the return of "ancient worthies" about which the judge said, "i made an ass of myself.".

  just four years later, rutherford did one of his famous about-face reversals.. whereas previously the watchtower had taught that the great pyramid was probably built by melchizedek, or shem;*.

  rutherford now said the great pyramid was constructed "under the direction of satan the devil.

  Help! Mike & Kim videos all being deleted by Youtube

  due to watchtower flagging the mike & kim videos on youtube for copyright, youtube is giving them 6 days before they are shutting down their entire youtube channel.

  can you help with a mass downloading program and then reuploading them on a mirror ?

  would hate to lose all those good videos!

  My Father has brandished me with the "APOSTATE" word for talking about the BIBLE!

  so after three years of fading, my elder father has never really asked why we have chosen to stop attending.. today, after a mixed discussion, he starts talking about the "solution to all the world problems" and says "i don't know what you now believe, but i believe gods kingdom will fix everything" i let the comment go, and didn't respond.. then he goes on about the video "remember the wife of lot" because he just came from the convention last weekend.

  "don't get caught up in this system...blah blah".

  i couldn't help myself, and said one thing "dad, that video failed to show the next chapter of that account.

  To each his own. I like the fact that there are a variety of personalities and nationalities out there all basically telling the same WT horror story.

  I think all of us ex-jws can come off as crazy at times.
