  Were your English WT publications in the American "dialect"?

  greetings, friends:.

  the opening query is presented, loosely, in the past tense, assuming that you are not currently a reader of watchtower publications.. not that i'm already rather certain of your reply, it's just that i would like to know if in your english-speaking country (or esl [english as second language]) the society deigned to tailor the publications to your spellings, expressions, idiomatic renderings, etc.

  as you will read below, so-called american english is a dialect of english.. i found this online under american english vs. british english:.

  Just Got Dubbed..

  so there i was earlier today, enjoying a spot of lunch in a pleasant little cafe whilst out shopping, when up came a fella i vaguely recognised from the dim and distant past just as i was tucking into my highland soup with bread roll and butter..

  "i would never ignore you you know".. "eh?

  what" i ventured wondering wtf is this all about.

  What a bizarre thing to say to someone you haven't spoken to for years. If he would never ignore you why is it he is only saying hi now? As someone else said why not just say hello like a normal person.

  I have had a few interesting close encounters in the supermarket myself lately and I 'm tellin ya the further away I get from this cult the more strange and bizarre their behavior appears to me.

  Nah, I doubt they would want to interupt the momentous flow of pomp and circumstance of the event. I imagine it's difficult to maintian that big booming wizard of Oz voice machine going when talking bout business.

  They probly have a special separate annual meeting where the champagne and caviar is served by bethelites in togas and they laugh about the hall/sale/mergers there.

  "Circumcision is a sign to set you apart from the people of the nations"

  we know that the hebrew scriptures, or old testament states that the practice of circumcision (of males) was supposed to be yet another sign that set the jews apart from the "people of the nations".

  but apart from so many odd things, how dumb is this?.

  i mean, how did someone know if a male was circumcised or not??

  Zeb - Aaah ok. Thanks for explaining one of the great mysteries of the penis club. Us girls have these little things called doors in our public toilets so I never understood there was a urinal etiquette. LOL.

  But hey if public toilets become nongender maybe we'll all have the urinal experience in the future - possibly...god I hope not I like doors.

  All Donations Received @ KH During Annual Meeting Must Be Sent To The Branch

  i just got word that in all congregations where the annual meeting is being streamed, any donations received that day, even if put in the box for the local hall must be sent to the branch immediately.. there will be an announcement made before the program starts for this arrangement.

  so the extra electric needed that day, heat/ac that the congregation has to pay for does not matter.

  all money donated that day has to go to the branch..

  I remember looking up an un-named quote from a WT once and it was a TD Jakes quote - WTF!!!

  All it said was it was a "well known preacher" but the quote was used as an argument for WT's position - double WTF!!!
