  Living with non belivers

  my question is can you as a jw live on same premises as a non jw.... in split house/property with no sexual relations or anything involved... i am being forced to move due to a "sister" wanting to go back to her god and has made the point of saying she cannot have a male around.

  even though the property itself is split with seperate access for both parts of the house.. she has put a blanket rule out saying the whole property itself... doesnt make sense to me nor to any of the elders i have spoken to regarding the matter.. yes i called them as i know next to nothing about the faith.. .

  i find it strange that two elders urge a non jw to seek justice from fair trading and rental tribunal as they themselves do not belive the actions of the "sister" in question or her family to be correct or right... .

  let's play devils advocate here.. put yourself in the governing body's shoes.

  they are well aware of all the issues they are facing.

  they know their numbers (they 'do the math' as they say in the us).

  What can WT leadership do...?

  They are already doing it and have been beavering away at it under our noses for the past...oh I don't know, I'd say ten years possibly more. Future-proofing or in this case with WT - future-faking.

  It takes time and planning to rebrand and turn a giant cult in different direction and that direction is jwdotborg.

  The direction may be clear the destination... not so clear.

  To turn things around if I were them I would :

  Rebrand and embrace technology.

  Stem the flow money going out, at the end of an nverted U curve it's only making thing worse to keep pouring money into any side of the business that is not performing.

  Take possession of all monies and properties

  Sell sell sell superflous properties, equipment, business etc etc

  Reduce printing and associated costs.

  Prune middle management, in-house volunteers, stipend pioneers any programs that imply liablility.

  Limit opportunity for liability suits by cutting meetings in private homes etc.

  Remove weakest links: Reduce the need for "teachers" by providing video meetings. Elders basically become glorified ushers, tech guys for the equipment and security guards.

  Continue with the mantra "listen obey or else" and "loyalty, loyalty, loyalty" "the end is close" and who can forget "donate donate donate" during the transition phase.

  Introduce new mantra "exciting and new changes are now taking place and needs your money regularly and praise Jehovah he created direct debit/automatic payment etc for that very purpose so you don't forget and can easily be incorporated into a monthly budget."

  Expand:JW Movies JW Broadcasting and JWMusic.

  Many refugees from high control religious groups keep their identity from the broader public under wraps for obvious reasons at some point, we of all people should understand that.

  I've seen whistleblower/expose type interviews with ex-muslim, jews, scientologists, mormons, amish, satanists, kkk and many others and if some of them feel the need to obscure their face I completely understand why.

  two elders have been deleted by watchtower for reporting an allegation of child sexual abuse to the police, contrary to watchtower orders (a jw paedophile with a history, apparently).

  when the british branch discovered what the elders had done they arranged for 3 elders to fly over to ireland, at the congregations expense no less, to hold a special jc for the ' rogue' congregation elders.

  one elder and the cobe were deleted, two were allowed to continue.

  I watched the vid and it to be believable. This guy from Irelandand and John Redwood from Survey spent quite a bit of time researching the case. While it's commendable that these elders that contacted Survey for help reported to authorities it's only what they should have done. At the end of the day though, WT owns their ass and is their "boss" so if they go against any directive then WT can fire their arse.

  WT has these useful dupes aka elders by the short and curlies - damned if they do damned if they don't!

  To carry out WT orders would compromise any working conscience to not follow orders is theocratic suicide.
