"Pioneer camp" sounds a little bit strange and creepy.

Where were the displays proudly focusing on the things that make JWs "different so therefore true" to all other false religion?
You'd have thought the Guardians of Doctrine could devote at least one display to all the people who's lives have been destroyed because of the no-blood doctrine. I mean if you lay down your life for WT don't you deserve a passing mention for your loyalty and obedience to death?
What about the history of shunning? A "NOT a Cross" room? A "Trinity Sminity" display? A "Creation" room?
C,mom WT you're not trying hard enough.
And appparently filming someone on your phone is "cinematoghraphy." Lol. Seemed like a homage to WT.

Honestly, as a "museum" it was boring as ... even with all the wizzbang displays and lightbox dealy-whoppers I couldn't imagine a more boring tour. I did think of an alternate title for the vid though.
Alternative title : Didn't We Have a Lovely Time The Day We Went To Warwick

Does "Hanlon's Razor" apply to the Governing Body?
by stuckinarut2 ini recently learned of the term "hanlon's razor".. wikipedia defines it as: .
hanlon's razor is an aphorism expressed in various ways including "never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
" it recommends a way of eliminating unlikely explanations for a phenomenon (a philosophical razor).. so could it be said that this applies to the gb / society ?.

What about a new "razor" not attributing to stupidity what be explained by the word cult.

Counting time calling on inactive ones?
by stillin inhad a couple of witnesses stop by yesterday to say the usual "we miss you, missed you at the meeting, just checking in on you, etc.
" i've always liked this guy so we spoke for a few minutes.
my wife said that they could count their time since i am inactive.

I thought they could only count time if they were "assigned" to a specific inactive person by the BOE. Has that changed to all inactive all the time?
Whenever someone has called on me (always unannounced) they can never just say "I thought of you and decided to call by" they always say something along the lines of "I was passing by..." or "I was in the neighbourhood..." or "I was on my way somewhere else and..." what the heck is that all about?
It's like just wanting to see me is not a good enough reason to stop by and see me and they certainly don't want to give me the impression they just wanted to see me. Spose they think it might go to my head and I'll start thinking they're my friends or something lol. They're so transparent its laughable.

What Makes Someone Become a JW?
by minimus inmy excuse is that i was born in the religion.
but if someone wasn’t, why would they become one?.
-

Even people "born into" a religion are responsible for their own decisions once they become legal adults. So anyone that gets baptized after reaching the legal age of adulthood has chosen this religion.
Why do others convert?
Nobody goes looking for a cult, cults go looking for them.
JWs come off as good, honest "nice" people. They honey trap people then bait and switch them.
With JWs the religion you join is not the religion you find yourself in. This religion has a public face and an inner reality that is very different. If anything, born ins should be more aware of this disparity than converts.
Being recruited by a cult has nothing to do with intelligence Steven Hassan explains this very well in his book.

You may PRETEND to care - in reality you are SELFISH!
by wannabefree inthat;s what my wife (and all jw's) gets to hear about us at the kingdom hall today, (hmmmm, i wonder if she'll raise her hand to answer this one) ... .
watchtower study ... today, apostates and others who create divisions in the congregation use “smooth talk and flattering speech.” (romans 16:17, 18) they may pretend to care about others, but in reality, they are selfish.. (the watchtower - study edition (simplified version) 10/17 page 4 paragraph 7).

"Smooth talk ...flattering speech...pretend to care"
Sounds like instructions for how to talk to someone in field service.
