Considering there is advertising everywhere and hard to avoid why don't the GB just advise JWs to consider poking their own eyes out for Jehovah and be done with it.

Unbelievable KMS example
by Saltheart Foamfollower ini've been to the kingdom ministry school (for elders) recently and can report that it is mostly the usual mix of cliches and platitudes.
several letters where basically just read through one line at a time.
one point early on though almost made me laugh out loud.

Attendents sit at the best seats
by Quarterback inwell it's been awhile since i got angry and wanted to post on here again.
last week's watchtower about the subject of love had something to say about the hard working attendants.
it seems that they are choosing to sit in the best seats at the convention.

The most petty of the petty tyrants aka "attendants" were not married, had no kids, no clue and no heart.

Why dont practicing JWS cant accept the fact that the Watchtower Corporation is a commercialized false prophet ?
by Finkelstein into the majority of people who investigate the activities of the wts from its beginning history there were obvious false proclamations and doctrines propagated by the wts.. a matter of fact the wts produced a long list of literature that posted proclamations on the front cover and went into detail of things that were suppose to happen, from jesus returning changing the world in which we live and so on.. wonderful things one might say but not factual or either theologically correct .

For practicing jduds to accept WT as anything other than "the only true religion" they would first have to
think about it - critically
research it
weigh up the evidence
accept the evidence
fom an opinion of their own based on evidence
WT tells them they're not even allowed to do the first step which is to think about it and most obey.
That's why.
Sad but true, there is hope though we've all been there.

Am I reading this right? Seems odd that they gave up on selling after only six months, tore down the building and put up a tiny box in it's place. The Branch knows absolutely that KH usage is never going to pick up in the future and KHs are not needed even to sell - remove the building and just sell the land? Weird for an org in "accelerated growth" period. But then again if pop growth has slowed to crawl and going backwards in certain areas pulling out is sensible.

Oh this stoopid shunning thing!!
by Unstuck inwarning - vent ahead....... so, my father (still very much in jw but who has at least had the decency to still keep in contact with me and hubby and to show interest in why we aren't attending and respect where we are at) is in intensive care at a local hospital and is intubated and sedated with some serious health issues.
i'm next of kin so i get all the phone calls from the hospital.. so, the rest of the "family" has cut me off because we are inactive and because the ever-active jw gossip grapevine has rumoured with a sibilant slithy hissy voice: "apossstassssy" is the cause of our inactivity.. whatever.. but now i've had to contact said "family" with the news about my father and what is going on....... so, dad's sisters answer my calls and manage to act and conduct themselves with a degree of decorum.. my sister on the other hand - well, she doesn't deign to answer my calls and texts for most of the day.
i push the issue tonight and insist on speaking to her when my brother-in-law answers the call.

Shame your sister can't see the need to rally and support at this time, would make life so much easier if family could just be family. The cult childishness is an added layer of difficulty - insult to injury.

Because you cannot please everyone I think at some point you need to decide who your target audience is because trying to appeal to active jduds and ex-jw communty alike is a bit confusing. When you have recently left your sensitivity to WT criticism is still quite high.
Is he an "activist" or a reviewer? I would call him a reviewer now.
