It's simple, a no brainer in fact, they will first sell off the halls in areas with slow to no growth and slow to no potential for real state values improving.
They will repeat the musical chairs process until.... they reach the desired number of halls and when the music stops and how many halls are left nobody knows.
not completely but the expensive renting of halls or assembly hall ownership.
maybe with streaming they could have assemblies at the kh and stream the program.
i bet they cut costs in a lot of ways.
They may not have new release books but they make up for that in videos. I know if I was still drinking the kool aid the videos would be such a blessing compared to listening to the horrible, boring as dry toast talks delivered by the local brothers. I think I would have donated more just for being saved from death by poor speaker.
Plus videos relax you, zone you out and they're like a dopamine hit watching them in a crowd.

I agree steve, that's what happens when you volunteer to go to bethel, you are on borrrowed time and one day you will be asked to leave. Whether you are a bethelite, or a mob member the same principle applies; whatever goes around within that group eventually comes around.

I ran into some bethel "bad batch" rejects a couple in their fifties and the wife was desperately trying to cling to whatever dignity and social cred she thought she still had but the hubbie definitely would have talked more candidly if she didn't keep changing the subject to a more postive tone.
I asked him what was going to happen to the branch, if they would sell of some properties and he said
" Of course they will they're not sentimental about it."
Me : "Well they 're not sentimental about people why would they be sentimental about buildings."
At about that point the missus quickly changed the subject to how wonderfully they were supported by the congregation. He would have talked more if she let us.
i was at the regional convention and asked an elder why is that at the assemblies their is an accounts report but not at the conventions?
he said, well actually they got a letter and in it said that in a little while they will do away with the accounts report stating how much the assembly costs for the weekend and just go to donation basis like at the conventions.. my first thought was, "they will donate even less now.".
anybody else hear about such a thing?.

I listened to one of her phone calls recently where the "brother" answering the phone at the hall claimed he knew JWfacts.com were lies...because ...wait for it... he said he knew the articles on JWfacts were "half truths" because he was a contributer!? Whaaaaaaaat?
