it was a very good film but not fully what i was expecting.
a jw could even watch it, i don't think the title fit the movie.
there was absolutely nothing about apostasy, nor do i recall the word even being mentioned.
Yes I'm sure the cringe factor that exjws feel on watching it is only felt because we have been there, done/said that, I see it as over-identifying with the characters and story.
The normies that watch it may find some scenes awkward but would just think "what weirdos" JWs are.
i don't know if they do this any longer but back in the day they had a special section at an assembly sectioned off for dfed people who would have to wear a ribbon that said disfellowshipped.
do they still do this and what was the rules on dfed talking to dfed at the assembly?

I always thought that D-effed people could be identified by a big D on their forhead just like in the show Red Dwarf the hologram was identified by a big H on his fro.

I know WT likes to call allegories "the account of Jonah and the big fish" "the account of this and that" etc, but, shhh guess what it's a story, it's not real and was never meant to be real.
on rotten tomatoes, apostasy has 100% success from critics (very rarely that critics are unanimous in their approval of a film) and 97% from the audience.
i have loved reading the reviews as they are almost all ex jw's but there is one glaring review that is almost certainly from one active jw who is pleading that the film be banned, even though they haven't actually seen it (typical) and it made me laugh:.

well today marks the beginning and biggest day of our protest at the london excel.. we believe it's a record number at around 100 exjws at the front door.. we spoke to lots of jw's and one young man studying who has quit after talking to us.
we've been approached privately by jw's who thanked us for coming and the security at the event treated us very well.. if anyone wants to see some clips they are available on my channel the great apostate.. thanks to all for the support and love..

i was just told there will be international conventions in canada in 2019. .
so i looked at jw.org and i see that there's a whole bunch of conventions now listed on the site for 2019.. isn't this odd?
normally we were told the location of conventions during the first week of january.. did they realize there was less in attendance in the 2018 conventions, and want to give ppl more time to make travel arrangements??
