Oh come on, in that "artists depiction" of how to abuse the elderly out of their money there is clearly a modest size container of air that will keep her going until she can sell the container and donate that 20cents also.

Do You Know Of Anyone Who Left JWs And Then Decided To Return?
by minimus inquite a few years ago there was a poster here that left the religion because he knew it was simply not true.
however, he returned to jws because he wanted to be with his family.
i don’t know how he is doing but gumby was his name.

You missed the point of what I said entirely minimus.
I was not talking about chess or any other hobbie I was using an example of things normal people do and say as opposed to the retarded conversations JWs have.
I was referring to JWs bizarre behavior.

I Got Very Stange JW Doorknocker Yesterday
by pale.emperor ini had an ex-jw uncle of mine visiting me yesterday from another part of the country.
i usually only ever see him at weddings and funerals but we keep in touch on facebook.
we were catching up in my place with his wife when about an hour into the visit there's a knock on my door, this was about 4pm.. strange... the only people who ever knock without calling me first are the postman and my ex-wife.. i open the door and it's a face i recognize from my last congregation.

Every JW that has called by my house they can never just say I 'm here to say hi and see how you're going since you don't attend meetings anymore. Btw I have a few questions about that if you don't mind talking about it I'm curious as to why and what you believe now...
No, waaaay to simple, honest and straight forward for JWs they always have some subterfuge going on like oh I was just passing by, oh, I was in the area, oh, I was on my way somewhere else... Never mention the elephant in the room just keep it superficial and frivolous and leaves me wondering why the hell they called in the first place.

I know plenty of people who "drifted" away and anytime I saw them they would always be "planning on getting back to meetings soon." "Soon" never came it was just a line they used if they encountered an active JW.
Bizarre behavior when you think about it if you ran into someone you knew from a chess club or softball team you are no longer attending you may have a passing conversation about the club but would you immediately start to explain away your current chess habits and explain how you are not playing as much as you would like because of anxieties of life blah blah...?
No you would just talk like a normal person ask how they are, their health, their life, their family etc.
Imagine saying well if you're not playing chess anymore I shouldn't be talking to you!

Typical JW, they never call first to find out if it's convenient.

Muslims and the Jehovah's Witnesses
by Tameria2001 infirst i want to say that i don't know very much about the muslims, and what i am going to say is not attacking anyone, but instead, it was something that was said to me by a muslim man a few years back.. back in 2004 my husband and i found ourselves in a homeless situation.
his job had ended because the plant that he was working at, had shut down, and was sent off to china.
at the time our two sons were still very young, so we ended up staying at a couple of different homeless shelters until my husband could find another job, which took a total of three months before he found a new job, in a new state.

Family is now reaping what they sowed and they don't like it.
by Gemmel ini resigned from the jw's in my 20's over 30 years ago, i was immediately shunned by my entire family and it's remained that way with a few exceptions ever since.
one of those exceptions was being contacted by a cousin a few years back and during that conversation i discovered that my mother had been and still was the prime mover in my complete and continuing shunning.
i then used what contacts i had left to confirm it.

Their own shunning policy is biting them on the ass.

They profile as the same psychopath that part is obvious if someone cares to do a side by side comparison but many if not most people don't think about it let alone draw conclusions.
