Waking up is never as frightening if there is someone you love and care about who has done it first, so your strength may be the catalyst for her to start questioning her own beliefs one day.

Losing a parent is bad enough but this cult makes it even harder by taking away your right to grieve with the rest of your family.

It is indeed quite the internal struggle between being true to yourself and not, but I believe you made the right choice in being honest.
Nothing may come of it, so don't sweat it, you'll cross that bridge if and when etc etc.
Don't let anyone shame you for being honest.
alright, i want everyone to list your top three reasons for jw to be cult and/or not the true religion.

Something that I feel is very culty is how JWs will attempt (and in the case of converts succeed) to do is alter a persons perception of reality. They essentially teach the flock to reject reality and substitute it with their own.
Also when JWs talk it makes my brain hurt.
