  I had the impression that JWs are a revolving door religion. In countries where growth is faster they go out just as fast as well.

  those of you who read my last post, about two weeks ago, know i'm in a dilemma.

  i did not run like some posts suggested.

  i truly believe i found my soulmate.

  Your only hope of a happy life together would be if she walked away from her life and you both started afresh somewhere else. But, she would still need a few years of counselling and deprograming to get her thinking straight and all the post-cult emotions out of her system.

  Otherwise expect a long life of tiptoeing around her JW sensitivites and never truly being as close or as happy as you could be if it weren't for her religion.

  A Never-Was JW's Response

  i never was a jw.. my traditional response to jws calling at the door was to raise 'the issues' - standard stuff.

  they don't come so often now.. when the arc was going out live, i watched most of the broadcasts.

  i was struck by just how poorly the head honchos performed.

  You are spot on, the ARC was so helpful in highlighting just how deluded and clueless this cult and it's leaders are.

  Their performance was ineffectual at best, total lies at worst, and not a good look for any religion, let alone the so-called "only true religion."

  London Bethelites Living on Their Nerves?

  just got home and received information from a source regarding london bethel: .

  a bethel couple told my source that they are getting rid of about 20/25 bethelites every week and that if they are to go, they will get called in on a friday and given their leaving date.everyone is "on edge" and hoping that if they get the boot, they've got time to make alternative plans.. perhaps bethelites everywhere should apply this scripture, by looking for a job and accommodation now - and then just resign from their "vow of poverty" without giving advance warning.

  (proverbs 22:3) "the shrewd one sees the danger and conceals himself, but the inexperienced keep right on going and suffer the consequences.".

  i was sitting at the recent circuit assembly that i attended, (the things i do for sis blues) and the baptism talk was under way .

  i admit that my mind was more on my imminent packed lunch and flask of coffee but i distinctly heard the speaker make the statement that heads this thread and cite a wt reference.. you what !

  i was shocked....... how can they possibly make such an arrogant statement ?

  Geoffrey Jackson said it would be presumptuous to say the GB are the only ones who speak for God (or words to that effect) at the Australian Royal Commission.

  But apparently it's not presumptuous of them to say who God does or doesn't listen to.
