The whole atmosphere of the cong is "arbitrary and capricious."
Who get's df or just a slap on the wrist. Who they string out for reinstatement and who they let back in quickly.
There was a MS in my hall who was having an extramarital affair and got busted he was df and after 6months reinstated and everyone in the hall went crowding around to give him a hug yet this young girl who faded away and started living with a guy they hounded her until they finally dfed her in absentia. When she made an effort to be reinstated they made her wait a couple of years and everyone treated her like trash even when she eventually got reinstated.
It's not just disciplinary matters either. Who gets appointed via the fast track and who they hold back.
Half the time there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to many of their decisions. And has little to do with "repentance" or "heart condition" or "obedience to those taking the lead" or any such thing.
And that folks is how the GB like it - keep the sheeple confused not knowing which way is up.

I am noticing a theme developing in theses videos.
In a WT article a kid's fluffy little white dog goes "missing" when the fam move to slave where the "need is great."
Now this kid sells his cow (wtf!) so pop can volunteer at bethel or whatever...hmmm.

I fail to see your point
Cognac was right - nunya business to begin with.
What these people decided to relate concerning their own experience at their own JC again - nunya business.
People can witness the same event and remember things differently. Happens all the time.
Have you been on the other side of a JC ? Fear can play a factor in how you remember things.
I could go on, but my point is that there seems to be so much here you have failed to consider.
I am more honest with myself now than I ever was as a myopic Jw.

Music can be a powerful tool in the indoctrination sessions.
Expect any loved ones that attend the meetings to go into cult hyperdrive over this.

Unfortunately most don't wake up and smell the cult until they are mauled by the borg personally in some way.
I saw things happen to others over years and all the cult responses kicked in. But, when "what goes around came around" (as the saying goes) did I start to see things from the perspective of the ones that had been hurt, disfellowshipped, marginalized and demonized.

hello everybody :) i have been visiting this forum for some time.

i noticed that many can't really free from the past in the org despite many years outside of jw.

i was awaken with a bang.

There are more ways of showing support for a dangerous mind control group than being an appointed man or contributing funds. Just by placing your bum on the KH seat everytime you attend one of their indoctrination sessions you are counted in their stats. Stats that keep the WT lie going. If you're still engaging in FS you are counted as "active" contributing to their number tally that keeps the lie going.
Of course, it's your life, but personally once I saw the ugly, ugly side to the org I just could not in all good conscience lend support to this group. I felt passive attendance is still support and silence can be interpreted as approval.

If JWs were to change their name what would they change it to?

(at the time with lower case w) isn't it about time now they changed name again?
