DF'ed arrival/departure times at meetings

i didn't want to derail another thread, but something said made me wonder.

i know that i noticed df'ed people come in right when the meeting started and leave right when it left most of the time.

is that some sort of actual rule?

If a disfellowshipped person was to arrive early and wander around the hall quietly or dilly-dally after the song and do the same many would complain, and the elders I have known would likely see it as an act of beligerence on the part of the disfellowshipped one.

I just wish people would wake up and stop submitting to this stupid religion with it's stupid rules.

Why would anyone want to go to a club where no one wanted you, no one spoke to you or even made eye contact. The whole thing is just stupid and discriminatory beyond belief.

I actually don't think of truth in terms of being good or bad, beautiful or ugly.

Truth itself, just is. It's neutral, indifferent. It is still truth whether you like or not. Whether you accept it or not.

The effect of truth/reality accepted and dealt with in a person's life can be beautiful I suppose.

Do You Remember The First Time You Looked At "Apostate" Material?

i was always fascinated by it.

as a kid, i used to go to the local library and secretly read books by so called apostates.

later, i would sneak into christian book stores and quickly buy a book or two.

The first time I looked at "apostate" material it felt like looking at a sort of religious "porn."

Naughty but exciting, scary but fun and left me with an appetite for more.

Some people just don't care if their religion is true or stupid, or if their policies are right or wrong, or even if their policies are just plain cruel. They just don't care if their religion's policies cause suffering and death. They just don't care if their religious leaders lie or what they do with donated money. They don't care if abuse victims are treated like sinners and abusers are protected by the silence of the elders. They just don't care. They're happy, so that makes it all ok.
