Assemblies - Before and After Waking Up

i haven't been to a meeting for maybe 10 years.
i only know what's happening nowadays from the experiences i read here or the internet in general.. anyway, on to the topic: i started attending meetings at the age of 7. as a kid, the only thing i looked forward to at the assemblies (circuit/district) was walking around veteran's stadium (philadelphia district convention) during intermission, hanging with friends, looking at girls (as i got a little older) and trying to have enough tickets to get pizza!.

Never went to another assembly after waking up. They were traumatic enough while I was still in JW lala land, no way could I face them completely awake. My ears would bleed and my head would explode. Sorry about the visual, but seriously if I went to an assembly now it would get ugly. -

by Coded Logic insince the watchtowers' lawyers have (a) failed to make any recommendations to the arc that would bring the watchtower up to date with "best practices and procedures" (b) have failed to submit a proposal for victim restitution (c) have failed to secure funding for a redress scheme and (d) have completely dismissed all the arcs' findings - what's the royal commission's next course of action?.
i see two possibilities:.
) negotiate a settlement with the watchtower.

MMAU - Just wondering, (and I know I am going to regret asking) sooo if you don't discard your religion because of problems at what point, pray tell, would you consider a problem with your religion to be a deal breaker? Cyanide flavoured Koolaid??
The WT has been pointing the finger at the RCC for decades and telling people to "get out of her" because of the very sins it itself is committing.

I'm surprised, pleasantly of course, that such an encouraging result has presented itself so quickly. I thought it would be years away.
We are living in a real boom period for discoveries I think.
