  one is with a sister with a university education in biochemistry who (presumably) teaches at a highschool or public school.

  she says that left handedness of amino acids indicates life was created because "if it was a random process half would be right handed and half left handed" (paraphrased).

  Are we sure that there aren't more 'compound'-ish structures?

  wasn't sure where to put this but .... .

  so mr bsom and i got to talking and we got to wondering if there aren't other compound like buildings being structured, or if assembly halls have been built with greater living quarters?

  the entirety of this situation is really beginning to shape up like the davidians or jim jones.

  but here's the alternative title: what stupid beliefs/ideas did you have while an active jw.. i think the majority of jws that don't have obvious mental health issues are not stupid, just un/under-educated.

  for example, i now accept evolution as a thing, not a controversy or conjecture.

  Many JWs are willfully and blissfully ignorant, having handed over their right to reason for themselves to seven men in America. They are also intolerant of any info that threatens their belief system (who isn't?). But, yeah stupid is as stupid does I spose, but religious indoctrination can be mighty powerful mind-altering drug that bypasses intelligence and heads straight to the R complex part of the brain, maybe that's why it's so hard trying to reason with them.

  With all the evolution doubters out there are these people the best they can come up with. Wait, oh yeah this is WT.

  To qualify for that broadcast gig the "volunteer" must be educated in the sciences and a JW in good standing.

  That's quite the rare species of evolution buster. Lol. Do these people even know the meaning of a word like...oh I don't know let's say bias.

  do not even eat with such people.. if shunning is wrong.

  Deciding to refrain from hanging out with someone whose behavior is destructive and refuses to change is understandable as everyone has the right to protect themselves from harmful infuences.

  Deciding to shun a family member or close friend absolutely and without mercy because they have doubts about the GB's claim of being hand selected by Jesus himself along with any other of WT's loose intepretive rules to do with personal choice is not only unscriptural but downright wrong!

  the generation that will be no means pass away have passed away.. the 144,000 were sealed up in 1935, oh, no wait, we got that wrong, we still have some.. russel is the faithful and wise servant... oh, no he wasn't it was me, rutherford... no, actually, we got that wrong it's knorr... erm, no we mean the governing body.. shunning is pagan, true christians would never do that (1946)... oh, actually, we should do that too.. the revelation book has been re-written.. the un is the satan's visible organisation.. wtbs signs up for fellowship with the un in 1991.. exposed in the guardian newspaper so ends it's fellowship in 2001.. the greatest man book is now obsolete and replaced with another jesus book.. the mags are reduced in pages.. encouraged to use tablets instead of actual books to save paper (money).

  halls being sold off.. congregations sharing halls.. society owned buildings being sold off.. video pertitioning for money only last year to fund a new building.. bethelites reduced.. missionaries sent back home.. young members leaving.. long time members discovering the history and leaving.. how long do you think this religion has left?

  i cant see it being here in another 100 years.
