  i'm sure many people, republicans included, are shocked at the results of the 2016 presidential election.

  really, wtf!.

  the polls were wrong and although it's tempting to blame voter suppression and fbi interference, that would just avoid looking at the real issues for the loss.

  The more heavy-handed the GB are with the message the less room it leaves for ambiguity in the minds of the JWs listening. Hopefully it will become more and more difficult to make excuses, as many JWs live in lala land concerning the true nature of their religion.

  Help with fading, please...

  i just left about six months ago and i'm going through the emotional whirlwind that comes with it.

  i would really appreciate some advice on how to keep this fade from turning into my being disfellowshipped.

  JWs are not worth maintaining a relationship with.

  People you cannot trust and cannot be yourself around.

  Living in fear of displeasing dubs and their delicate little sensitivities is absolute hell, and not worth the grief. IMO.

  November broadcast makes thier strategy clear.

  thier talk at this summers district conventions about shunning faders was a bit unclear and many said it was pointing out that only jws were to shun wrongdoers not specifically faders.

  this new broadcast makes it now obvious that those who leave the meetings have left jehovah so therefore they are to be shunned as a form of discipline.

  there can be no mistake that they do not want any of thier cult members associating with faders or those that have left the cult.

  so we all know of some (in)famous quotes that the wt has said in recent years.. the one that comes to mind is: (this is just from memory, so please feel free to add the proper links / references).

  "we must be willing to obey the direction from the gb no matter how strange it seems from a human standpoint".

  so, how does that "direction" / "command" to obey the gb fit in with feb 2017 statement:.

  have the many jehovahs witnesses past and present who have lost their lives by refusing blood transfusions due to the prohibition on blood tranfusions by jehovahs witnesses really got the sense of this statement ?.

  How Detached Are The Governing Body From Members Of the Bethel Family Where They Live?

  well consider for a moment the layoffs at bethel?

  the gb simply reassigned them out in the field for after many years of service it seems with out batting an eye with no real severance pay.

  now to me that spells detachment and lack of any real concern for those who served loyally for years.. spain is trying to get some type benefits for the people/citizens in their country who served the wt corporation for years and are no longer of any use to the corporation.

  The truth of the matter is every slave for this psychopathic org is nothing but human capital- a bulk product to be shipped, moved around, cancelled, recalled whenever the bastards want. There is no love for the product or care or responsibility for it's welfare or any regret for any wastage or damage.

  The upside - when I realized how one-sided the relationship was between me and the borg (I loved them they didn't love me) I woke up, hopefully others will also.

  I'm sure The Donald would find this thread fascinating also.

  He probly thinks any parents who haven't got a million bucks to give their kids are idiots or parents who were stupid enough to be born in Mexico are idiots.

  Don't worry what goes around comes around and the next gen of kids will turn around and blame you for ruining their lives one day and you get to be the prize "idiot."

  Why Is it the Girls who Hang in There?

  having seen many, many people leave the org over the years, i have to say that, when it comes to married couples, it's almost always the man who makes the first move to leave.

  conversely, when it comes to being converted into the witnesses, more often than not it's the wife who joins up first.

  although that wasn't the case with my own parents, my father became converted and my mother followed very reluctantly..

  The reality is Patriachy sucks for both men and women. It places unfair burden on men to take the lead and be oppressive of the women in their lives, while they themselves are being oppessed from above this causes many men and marriages to crack under the pressure of it.

  Patriachy teaches women that they are useles and incapable of thinking for themselves without men, causing many women to become extrememely passive aggressive towards the men in their lives. It has to be "passive" aggression because as a woman you are not allowed to complain but instead be grateful for the men who "care for you" like you are a farm animal or something.

  So the men become "weak" (awake) and fade away and the women form a tight group of diehard dubs.

  It's called a lose/lose situation.
