What I miss about going out in service.
by compound complex inwell, very little, to be honest.
the structure and commitment of the ministry provided discipline necessary to my life.
therefore, i did it, as required, and felt some sense of fulfillment at the bible study stage.. i do like talking to people.

Re LGBT - "What specific rights don't they currently have?"
Maybe with semi- transitioned trans people they are required to dress as their birth gender or use the bathroom according to their birth gender whilst at work or something??

Some powerful stuff against the WT
by Giordano inin another thread a poster has been in a pitched fight with others about the results from the arc.
trying to explain away the results and minimizing the damages.
what he has failed to understand is that the society had and still does have certain policies in place that hide the sexual abuse of minors.

Reading a great book on mindfulness at the moment and noticing how WT actually trains people to be mindLESS.
Back into my art again as I gave it up for a while because the loving bros and sis 's would always analyze my work in a way that made me terribly uncomfortable especially the abstract stuff. Art is a "hiding place of demons" - apparently.
Excersizing like a crazy person - and loving it.
Still reading and researching like a crazy person - and loving it.
Watching netflix like a crazy person - and loving it.
Speaking of crazy can feel my mind returning a little more everyday.
Generally much much kinder to myself these days.
And of course the only thing I would add to chocloate is champagne.

Just a btw for Richard.
WT are not victims nor are they defenseless. Hate to break it to ya but WT are big boys and they don't need you defending them, sweetie. They are a multi billion dollar org and have very expensive lawyers and a legal department for that.
The chips will fall where the chips will fall for WT and maybe they will continue to get away with their treatment of victims or maybe they won't either way they don't need you going into battle for them. Nor do they even deserve it.
Why not find an actual victim to advocate for there are plenty of them our there.

The thing with JW victims is because of their indoctrination they're even less likey to come forward than non jw victims. The mesage to never under any circumstances to bring Jehovah's name or people into disrepute is strong in the minds of all JWs and exJWs and many don't tell who would have told if they had not been threatened as children with bible horror stories of what happens to bad people who speak against Jehovah and his people.
