I don't think for one moment any of their stories are real. But, they do seem to be particularly picking on lesbians.

"Even if this wasn't the truth, I would still stay. This is the best life to live..."
by HereIgo ini was recently told this by a jw family member when trying to get through to them.
does this quote indicate that maybe such ones have considered that the jw's may not have the truth after all?
or is that just my wishful thinking?

They only say that "best way to live" crap if they feel safe and sound in the bossom of the congregation and have never felt the pain of a congregation witch hunt, an unkind unjustified character assassination a disfellowshipping or being blanked over something as ridiculous as a hairstyle.

Boy, they really are hammering this lesbian thing aren't they.
I always thought male homosexuality would be more prevalent amongst JWs, historically and now.

Really struggling to go on
by Isambard Crater inso, so much has happened in my life over the years and continues to happen, but i won't go into the details as it would take a long time.. i don't really know why, but i returned to "the truth" 15 years ago.
in 2012 when the tv broadcasting station launched, i started to develop doubts.
the australian royal commission and other scandals made me angrier, and i now don't believe most of the core teachings.. the only reason i show up at 5 or 6 meetings each month is to keep in contact with my parents and a few other family members.. but it's killing me, literally.

You really are not going to feel better until you start saying yes to yourself and no to excessive unreasonable demands of family. You have a right to privacy and personal time. The family may not like it, but, given time, they will get use to it without the sky falling. Other people are strong enough to deal with less of you while you regroup emotionally.

It's actually normal and healthy to start leading your own life apart from your parents.
Don't believe the WT propoganda that grown-ass people should remain bound to their parents physically as in (doing everything their parents do) and mentally (as in thinking everything their parents do) - for life!
Any parent or organization that expects that does not have your best interests at heart.
Only you are responsible for you and your choices, so choose life outside of a mind control cult. Your mind will thank you for it.

Chook - a tattoo of the logo on the arse is a great idea for the CO and GB at least then the brothers "reaching out" will know exactly where to plant their lips.

How smart were the ancients?
by Coded Logic ingrowing up as a jw, i always thought the ancients were scientific morons who knew next to nothing.
ashamedly, i used to run around citing isaiah 40:22 as proof of the bible's 'divine authorship' because it talked about "the circle of the earth".
as though this were somehow an unknowable before spaceflight.

It's a fascinating subject coded logic. I have just started researching this topic myself and have been amazed at the level of ancient technology, building and construction methods etc. I'd say much knowledge has been lost.

Sounds reasonable. Good to hear you hanging in there for the sake of your children cos it's probably going to be a bumpy ride, JWs can be sneaky and manipulative. Try to gather supportive friends or family to see you through this.

Jw mummies boys
by purrpurr ini've had the misfortune to encounter quite a few mummies boys in the cult.
men aged 20-40 who although in men's bodies think, act and behave like children.
their mother's had them tied to the apron strings tightly.

Speaking as an ex-sister who has encountered many many entitled elders sons/daughters and CO's wives etc, I think the programming can have different effects on different individuals. Some sisters retreat into doormat mode, some become super aggressive amongst other women.
