See all the crap you don't have to hear if you stop going to meetings, CO visit etc. Last time I checked pioneer school was above and beyond basic witness requirements and 100% voluntary. The answer is simple folks, don't go.

Jehovah's Witnesses in 1947 were not neutral! They would have voted Republican (i.e. Liberal)
by ILoveTTATT2 inback in 1947, the republican party was the "liberal" party.. i was reading an awake from 1947 and found out that jw's were not really neutral at all!
they clearly supported american democracy and rejected fascism and communism!their twist was that, of course, the catholic church and the protestants were in bed with the nazis, and if just the german people were allowed to be jehovah's witnesses, they would also embrace freedom and reject nazism.i am not making this up.. apparently the german people could not think right in 1947... that's why they did not want american freedom and democracy... where jw's would be free to preach!what?.

From nazi to "true democracy" and "real spiritual freedom" as a JW - oh the irony, sounds like from the frying pan of nazism into the fire of religious tyranny.
I find it interesting the way, even back then, WT would place the magic words "true" and "real" in front of stuff and it automatically makes it so.
JWs are nothing if not opportunists.

Do You Think Jehovah's Witnesses Are Typically Ignorant People?
by minimus ini think most witnesses are simple minded.many are ignorant.
there are a lot of basically "good people "in the religion but i believe many are kind of dumb, including many elders.
do you agree with my thoughts??
-

Willfully ignorant.
There is information available to JWs via the internet, books, tv etc but they choose to ignore it.
Good? What is good? Good is as good does and sadly when it comes to making a decision based on what's "good" or "right" JWs fail miserably. It requires integrity to say no to shunning, no-blood, deception.

Lol, dubstepped.
Looks like a good answer for when someone asks you where Jehovah lives.

The forgotten victims in Job
by Saltheart Foamfollower inafter todays watchtower, i realised that there was a detail which i'd never noticed before.
sometimes job's children are mentioned, but how many have noticed that job's servants were also killed.
they didn't even have a quantity assigned to them - just treated like property.

I see the Job story as an informative insight into the minds of the "Gods" or rather the inventors of the "Gods" and how the "Gods" actually view human beings - nothing more than a resource to be exploited, pawns to be used, cattle to be farmed, used as slaves, generally f**ked with, and then forgotten.

Set the record straight!
by Colinconfused ini would like to state publicly, on this forum, i no longer hold the views i had a year ago.. with much thought, research, study and logical examination i have come to a better understanding of my beliefs and where i stand on all these issues.. i'm very happy to announce i have returned to healthful teaching of the holy scriptures and i firmly believe that the governing body of jehovah's witnesses is the faithful slave.. sorry if i have contibuted to any kind of stumbling and know that if i can turn things around then there's hope for all who come to there sence.. phill4:6,7.

Have you noticed this trend on social media amongst witnesses...?
by stuckinarut2 init seems that every 2nd witness often posts pictures of themselves at conventions, or out in 'service'.
but i have noticed that they never seem to post anything about the actual "spiritual content" of their activity!
instead, it is pictures of them with their witness "friends", along with some contrite comment like #bestlifeever (arrghhh).

This is exactly the kind of witness GB wants now.
Shallow, vain and intellectually superficial. An emotionally stunted order follower.

Counter-protests to Free Speech Rally in Boston
by Anony Mous ini never thought i would see that in the us, a "free speech rally" (which has distanced itself from and organizers have nothing at all to do with the right, republicans or extremism) is being counter protested by thousands in boston today, the counter protests being organized by a coalition of black supremacists and sjw's.. on the other hand, google is building a database of speech that doesn't align with the left-wing political values.. i'm not sure what youngsters are thinking these days, but free speech used to be the cornerstone of american civilizations only a few decades ago.
the only way to drown out "bad" free speech is more free speech..

I think what we're headed for is along the lines of
War is peace
Freedom is slavery
Ignorance is strength.

Watchtower Coercion of Non-JWs
by Lee Elder init is widely known that the watchtower coerces compliance with its deadly blood dogma.
a less known fact is that this pressure is further extended to non-believing family members of jw's.
a new story at ajwrb recounts how jw elders nearly cost the life of one unbeliever when he fell gravely anemic.

Oh and BTW PE I think you did a good job, if this guy is so sensitive to questions and discussion he probably shouldn't be doing cartwork.
