  just wanted to say a big hello to everyone, my first post on here was actually yesterday but it was deleted.. so will keep this one short to save my precious time just in case its also deleted or lost.. got fed up with years of persecution from within the congregations.

  the lack of genuine friendship & lack of 'christian love'.

  having personally seen many a scandalous behaviour i began doing some research online some years ago.

  Not A Day Goes By Without Me Thinking About Watchtower

  although i consider myself completely "cured" from watchtower brainwashing, guilt tripping and propaganda, i realised today that there's not a day that goes by without me thinking of the cult we left.

  i think of my former family and what i'd like to say to them, what i'd try to explain and how i'd say it without them switching the "ignore" button and running away.. today on my instagram account my little step-brother "liked" a picture i posted.

  i didn't even know he was still on my friends list.

  I know what you mean it's like a bungi-chord attached to the heart. There's only so far you can go before the chord yanks you back to the reality of the situation and of course it would, this is family, people who are supposed to love, care and support you over some publishing/real estate business.

  Reminds me of that eighties song "There's always something there to remind me..."

  Is it just me or does Jehovah seem to have himself a self-important bunch of delicate little snowflake flower witnesses for himself these days. Every witness seems to be like:

  How dare these disfellowshipped people not like being shunned, make it stop Jehovah it's triggering me.
  

  How dare they ask questions that require truthful answers - that triggers me too! Waaaaaaa 😣.

  I don't mean to sound braggy but when I was in I always listened carefully and tried to talk kindly to anyone who was hurt or cranky by their experience with JWs in the hope they would know shit happens and not to let it ruin their faith in God.

  I figured if I had "the Truth" I needed to be the one to rise above any anger and counter it with love.

  Ha! What an idiot I was.

  Need help understanding the Overlapping Generation teaching

  so this is a topic that seriously boggles my mind and please correct me if i'm wrong.

  to me, the jw definition of the overlapping generation teaching is that the lives of the anointed from 1914 overlap with the lives of the anointed right now.

  david splane used the example of fred franz and how he finished his "earthly course" in 1992 but while he did, he had a lot of "contemporaries" that outlived him and are currently living today.

  Help! Mike & Kim videos all being deleted by Youtube

  due to watchtower flagging the mike & kim videos on youtube for copyright, youtube is giving them 6 days before they are shutting down their entire youtube channel.

  can you help with a mass downloading program and then reuploading them on a mirror ?

  Are the elders letters copyrighted? Because personally, I think the thing that would be pissing WT off the most about K&M is the reading out of the elder's letters. WT would absolutely hate that, it would be a matter of principle to them even though there's usually not that much damning info in elders letters that would be of interest to anyone other than ex-jws. They would hate their privacy protocols breached in such a way.

  I don't know I 'm just guessing.

  Agree with konceptual bout the double standards of WT.

  you hear of a exjw writing a book, however, before writing this book this exjw is requesting money to publish said book.

  you go along with it and help to get this book out to the public as you think that it will be beneficial.

  Lloyd does have some very devout "he can walk on water, we're not worthy" followers who act as a kind of goon squad to defend and follow wherever he goes.

  I just always took that as the unfortunate ex-jw propensity towards black and white thinking. People are either all good and you or anyone else cannot question them or criticize them or all bad and you must dislike and shun and them.

  Lloyd, like all of us has his good points his strengths and his not-so-good points his weaknesses. He puts his trousers on one leg at a time.

  But such is the way of social media. Sigh.

  i am quite interested in something mike and kim said in their video when talking about why their you tube videos are being taken down.

  in their video below, at around 35 seconds.

  mike say's that he has being trying to tell people that the boys in pennsylvania are the real power behind watchtower - not the governing body?.

  I asumed Mike was referring to the WBTS of Pennsylvania.

  They gotta make an example of someone and Mike &Kim would be easy targets. This case is a warning shot across the bough to all ex-jw you tubers, I reckon.

  Going To The Meetings Because You Were Obligated To

  do you remember going to the meetings because you had to??

  there were times when you were sick or definitely under the weather or perhaps you were exhausted physically and or mentally, and you were still required to go to the meetings!

  even during inclement weather you had to go.

  Oh yes, the meetings were what I moved everything else around for, imagining I was gaining points in heaven for it lol.

  I was a very conscientious witness, I tried hard to be supportive of any arrangement but my good record counted for nothing in the end once my attendance dropped off my worthiness went with it and my "treasure" in heaven turned out to be worthless. Kicked to the curb, treasure not redeemable, all for the ghastly sin of fading.

  I use to joke hyperbolically that if Jack the ripper turned up at the KH he would have been treated better than I simply because he wasn't baptized so not accountable, but I was.

  Never again.
