Secret Societies involved at the very top of the Org
by Formerbrother inare all the gb members past and present, part of skulls and bones and other masonic secret societies?
we know the first few top brass were, like br rutherford and br russel.. they all have several expensive watches.
like literally more than one for everyday of the week, rolex and omega, where did they come from?

Russell is NOT the borg of today he's just the excuse for the borg of today so what Russell was is neither here nor there except that WT uses him for their backstory of the humble bible student searching for truth. When we all know without a doubt that this religion did not have the immaculate conception the borg would like to claim it did. WT lies!
Russell's ideas were infected from all strains of quasi religious claptrappery. The total mindfuckery and corruption really started to metastasize under later leaderships and continues down to this day to the life's blood sucking, family destroying, money making cult we know it to be.

New JWism in April broadcast?
by AuntBee indoes anyone know what it means to be "securely wrapped up in the bag of life"?
is this a new special wt terminology?
they said it or a slight variant of it, several times in the broadcast, perhaps 3?

Maybe it's a variation on the phrase of having something "in the bag" ???
They sure do love their culty little catch phrases though so who knows maybe you have to be brainwashed to understand it.

Lloyd’s new book
by jwfacts ini see there has already been discussion over lloyd’s new book how to leave the jehovah's witnesses.
this includes discussion around his personality, motives and financial gains.
i have written a foreword for this book, because it is an important topic that has not been covered in such a complete format before.

When you agree to a massive front page story complete with photos of yourself for a Croatian newspaper it's no longer a phase.

Lloyd living with his still in JW in-laws is common knowledge of which Lloyd has freely spoken about. In fact in one of his videos he speaks of the uncomfortablenes of doing christmas because of the arrangement.

If they made 14400k symbolic how many jws would start to claim to be anointed?
by purrpurr insince there's debate here about wether the literal interpretation of the 14400k could be changed to symbolic, i was thinking such an announcement would allow for any jw to claim to be going to heaven... in which case i wonder how many jws would suddenly claim to have "been called"?.
i can think of many arrogant holier than thou types who would be jumping on that bandwagon immediately!

Movie-goers can be fickle (great movies that should've enjoyed huge box-office success)
by LoveUniHateExams injust thought i'd start a thread about this topic.. john carpenter's the thing (1982) was a great film, one of his best imo.
for me, it's right up there with alien (1979) as one of the greatest sci-fi horror films ever made.
and yet one film made anything between $100 - 200 million at the box office whereas the other made only $19 million.

Agreed, vidiot.
I thought the The Burbs was hilarious and underrated.

What Is The Most Ridiculous Thing You Have Heard From A Witness?
by minimus ini remember an elder questioning a woman who had admitted to giving and receiving oral sex from her unbelieving mate.
he asked her the most intimate questions which clearly flustered her.
interestingly, she “confessed “ to the elders because her conscience bothered her.

Ministry School Overseer aka Elder Left School at 15 Unintelligible Broken English talking about the importance of "good pro-nown-ment" and the use of "hyperballs" (hyperbole) when "tiching" to name a few but made thursday nights interesting. Interestingly Brother Snooze took over from him who had to have been 100 if a day.
The irony of it seemed absolutely lost on the BoE...hmmm or was it.
It seemed like the unspoken policy was to assign every position to an inappropriate-for-the-job brother.
Gotta love that theocratic educayshun though.

Sign JW Data Protection Form Or Else!
by AverageJoe1 inin spain (and the rest of europe), the "improved" data protection laws come into force on 25th may 2018. this is a good thing and sadly america is still lagging behind; not surprising with their current president!.
watchtower legal department are hot on the case and have instructed elders to hand out the new "release" forms out to all the publishers in their groups, whilst making it clear to them that they won't have any privileges if they refuse to do so!.
note these points in the instructions:.

Can you imagine all the data they already have after years of this social experiment masquerading as a religion!
Now with everybody logging on to dot borg they will have access to a hell of a lot more.
