I wish you the best with your research Fay it can be a deep, confusing and not to mention time consuming labrynth of a subject to research with many dead ends and red herrings that as you have already gathered not many people have the patience for, but what you have said so far sounds intriguing I hope you get some solid information. I do think there are questions surrounding WT, their origin story, various business dealings and activities, decisions they have made and why they have made them the list is long that have not adequately been answered and they possibly never will. Being excluded at times is part of the human experiences and many successful people considered themselves to be social outcasts and not fitting in throughout their lives. Being excluded can actually work for you sometimes if you let it.
The thing that makes it annoying with JWs is they claim to be the truest, the happiest, the Christiest most wonderful loving bosom of a religion in the whole wide wicked world.
So when the "most loving people" on earth reject you what does that do to a person?
I used to be offended by it now I see it as a good thing that I never fitted in with assholes.

by JW_Rogue inhas anyone else noticed that in the wt study articles the main point they want you to remember is always somewhere around paragraph 11-14?
it's like a formula.
intro and overview paragraphs 1-4. basic wt stuff 5-8 (not controversial).

Where does it stop because there are many industries that rely on beautiful people to sell it. Plus, there's the double standard when it comes to things like this. Have you ever witnessed the embarrassing trainwreck of a drunken hen's night with male strippers? It's a phalic worship night.
I'm assuming in a perfect new world where everyone and everything is equal male strippers and body builders beautiful male pop stars will be banned also because you know of the whole people are not to be oggled like prize cattle to be paraded around thing?

Supreme Court Rules in Favor of Baker Who Refused to Bake Cake for Gay Couple
by Simon inseems like such an obviously correct decision to overturn the previous overreach - it should never have been necessary to go to the supreme court but happened because the rights of the religious were being ignored.. as the fundamental level, no one should be able to compel you to work for them or to provide services that go against your beliefs, and certainly not have the government be able to force you to comply.. if this was allowed there would be so many unreconcilable situations that would clog up courts over nonsense.. i also have little patience for these activists that intentionally look to be offended.
it really doesn't do their cause any good to go round looking to make trouble for people.

Thing is, I highly doubt any similar future cases will go so well for the business, that is if you call the baker himself being labelled across the world as a hate filled raging homophobe things going well for him???
Anyway, the case hinged on gay marriage not being legal at the time so the business owner was within his rights to legally decline the business. Now... whisk up people because you're all making whatever the hell sort of cake we order you to!
The real issue is how far does religious freedoms go and whether a person should be able to practise their religious beliefs as a business person. It's a question that will need to be answered eventually and probably will as time goes by and this conflict presents itself more often.
