One thing Saddam got right--> when referring to dubya's then planned invasion of Iraq, he did not seem suprised at such a prospect and described dubya by saying: "The father was a criminal and so is the son."

Lying about a BJ is probably something that every man would do when faced with a similar situation. Personally, I could care less if he got a BJ everyday and twice on Sunday. He was/is the greatest President of our time.

were it up to my father, i probably wouldn't have been permitted to attend regular public school, grades k through 12, much less college---education was that much maligned in my family.
RazorMind- I know where you are because I have been there too. Up until now, you have been merely existing -- not living your life to its fullest potential -- and not accomplishing the work you were meant to do ( = dissatisfaction). You are also about to enter a new world in which you will be responsible for molding a new precious life into a responsible adult. Although it is an ongoing project (raising children), please do not let it stop you from going forward with your education. Even if you are not sure what degree you wish to earn, go ahead and start taking classes -- it will come to you later.
Getting your education is the best thing you can do for yourself, and your children. If you are feeling unfulfilled now, having a baby will not necessarily change this -- but you certainly will have many busy days and nights. Start making plans for your education now before the diapers and long nights arrive!

Bill Clinton did incredible things for this country, but thanks to right wing republicans and religious freaks, the general, uninformed public only remember the BJ.

The judge has gone mad and I expect to see him foaming at the mouth soon. Next thing on his agenda (beside making a fool of himself and the Alabama Supreme Court): he'll be a full-time bible-thumpin preacher because the other Alabama Justices don't want him back on the court (yea! just get him out of the justice system!). how do you now understand the world... and your place in it?.
i personally believe in evolution... and also a "higher power"... it seems more and more people are drifting away from organized religion, but they are then left searching for meaning and purpose..... going to college/university and studying a normal curriculum, one is exposed to philosophy, the socrates and platos of history, who in many ways started widespread discussion on such topics as above.
some sort of philosophy has to be studied i believe, just so one can understand the history of man, from that point in time and how we came to christianity in the first place.. however, it is a very personal matter, as we must all find our own answers.. i believe it is natural for people to be drawn to ponderings of purpose and god, and there are many ways to seek connection to that souce.
Science. Higher Learning. Associating with other "thinking" people -- not mindless zealots.
