"the world has never been worse" - not according to this website..

next week's wt is full of helpful encouragement not to believe satanic propaganda that might tell us that the world is getting to be a better place to live in.. .

well, i stumbled across this article here, that contains lots of so-called 'facts' and 'figures', i'm sure glad i read my wt first so i can recognise that this is nothing but lies, all lies.. .

Found this gem in the wt study that DHOH was talking about. Apparently this is evidence that human wickedness is increasing.

" And many recognize that homosexuals have a loud voice in the fields of entertainment and fashion, promoting their lifestyle in the public realm. How thankful we can be that we know God’s view!" -paragraph 9

I love how they mention "God's view" right after a pretty shocking statement like that. It's like they're playing the god card so people can't disagree with what they say

Going to a meeting for the first time in a while- love bombing expected

long story short, i have to go to the kh on tuesday with my mum and i havent been in at least a month now.

the reaon im going is because when i got my mum to finally let me make my own decision about whether or not i want to be a jw she made me promise that i'd go to the memorial, assemblies and if she had a talk.

she's already told me that people have been asking for me and only a few people in my cong know that i dont think it's the truth.. when i was trying to leave a couple brothers really piled on the "encouragement" and i dread to think about what it will be like when they see me again.

Need advice, really wanna play COD

well my ps3 is downstairs because i had no idea how good games looked on tvs that weren't older than you are and i've run into a problem.

my mum doesn't know that i have "bad" games like cod, gta 5, legend of zelda and final fantasy (yeah ik last two aren't that bad but loads of religious stuff and magic) and it's getting harder to keep it a secret.. i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on how i should go about this.

should i just wait a while and slowly introduce the idea to my mum that i play these games or should i just come out and play them and act like it'a nothing?.

Perfect1 thanks for the advice. But for no.6 my mum makes me take the iPad so it at least looks like I'm paying attention and I just read a book or something when she isn't looking.

wearewatching it's kind too late for that, I grew up on mario kart double dash and Pokemon. I'm pretty lazy in some aspects but I'm doing pretty well in school so my mum doesn't mind too much

lots of people are getting married at midnight tonight.. what do you guys think?

maybe if anyone gets called on by a jw this weekend you can ask them what they think about it.. im just glad because it shows that religion doesn't define our conscience, that basic human decency can prevail over time and hopefully, these types of gradual but big changes will be present in the wts too in the future .

Premarital sex--how prevalent?

in my old congregation, everyone seems clean.

mostly chaste courtship, kingdom hall wedding, blah blah.. well there are lots of cases of fondling but they were soon forgotton.

when my husband and i confessed to sex before marriage, the elders were disgusted.

The thing is that unless sex ed is being taught in schools, the average jw wouldn't know a lot about contraception. This is a major problem for us teenagers stuck in "the bloom of youth". Everyone having sex without knowing how to stop all the downsides that the wts talk about. (which funnily enough is all they talk about)

kinda weird how you keep bringing that up. Sort of like when someone in denial about being gay says stuff like "I'm not gay, I have a girlfriend" or "I've had sex with a girl so I'm not gay" or the classic "I've got a wife and X children". The fact that you feel the need to prove yourself so much just makes it seem as if you don't believe it yourself

Well cookiemonster by worldy standards I'm pretty much one of the "unlucky" people my age with a parent or parents that doesn't let them play violent games. You ever played gta online? You need to turn the volume down or be forced to listen to a bunch of 8 year olds screaming into their headsets

back in 79-80 they came out with another wt stating quite clearly that jesus was not the mediator for most jw's and of course this upset quite a few and some asked "if jesus is not my mediator then how does god hear my prayers?
