Anyone Notice this in the New Brochure "Good News From God"?

if you look on page 10, "what is god's purpose for the earth?," you'll see an illustration of adam in the garden--with a belly button!!

what were the wt artists thinking????.

i'd post a scan but, alas, i'm unable to in my present locale..

I just pulled out my copy of "From Paradise Lost to Paradise Regained" (1958). On page 21 there's a picture of Adam sitting naked in the garden. He has no belly button.

on my introduction post a few people expressed interest in how the worldwide church of god (wwcg) imploded.

i think maybe in hopes something similar will happen with the jws.

i think the jws will also eventually experience a meltdown but probably not in the same way since the power structure was a bit different.

Many years ago I wrote Herbert Armstrong a letter asking if he had ever been a Jehovah's Witness. He responded that he had never been a witness but that he had read our magazines.

Well I didn't know him personally, but my son met him during a cruise - I believe it was to Jamaica. I asked my son what he thought of him, and he said he was "arrogant."

Could Assemblies Be Wrecked?

assemblies at the reading pa. assembly hall are getting disrupted repeatedly by somebody who keeps pulling fire alarms.

many witlesses blame it on "apostates" - rather than the dissolute teenagers who used to do such things in my day.. there are lots of things that so-called 'apostates' may do to disrupt assemblies including bomb threats phoned in, swat teams called, printed green insults stuffed into collection boxes etc.

add prohibitions against strollers and you have lots of reasons not to attend and thereby avoid the annoyances.

I'd like to see someone walk around outside holding a sign wiith a picture of Judge Rutherford and the slogan, "Religion is a Snare and a Racket." I bet that would cause a stir. I wonder if the majority of younger witlesses don't even know who Rutherford was.
