Doors you were afraid to knock on

when you were in the field service, were there some doors that you did not want to knock on, by fear?

in my city there is a hells angels bunker and that group is called the "nomads".

a door i would not knock on in any circumstance.

Basically for me, I just used common sense. If it didn't feel right or look right, I just wouldn't go and knock on the door. Sometimes when a home was way in back or the yard was covered in bushes, I would refuse to go. If the brother or sister insisted on going....well, I told them I would wait for them. If they didn't want to go alone, they would mark it as a rv and go another time.

got this "experience" in an email.

it was sent by a sister i used to know quite well, i think she sent it to encourage me, but it has had the opposite effect.. "____________________.

baptized at age 5. the mother and father of a little girl had a bible study with xxx.

She has 5 Bible studies, three are with young ones, two are with
adults.

Ummmmm......sound like a crock of sh** to me. A 5 year old is just barely learning to read. How can she conduct a bible study with 2 kids yet alone adults? PUHLEESE!!!!! Give me a break. Witnesses will say anything to make people say ahhhhhhhhh...what dedication. I heard this once at an assembly and me and my mom looked at each otherand said ...Yeah Right. This whole story is just plain hard to believe.

What are YOUR Dreams Like?

" they are like memories to me, and my mind can create something when i sleep with the most vivid colors, feelings, sounds, cold or damp or wet or smothering heat.

Did You Feel Pressured To Auxiliary or Regular Pioneer?

a few times a year, the society really promotes pioneering.they will devote service meeting talks and parts stressing the need to regular or auxiliary pioneer.

at the assemblies and at the district convention, they will try to shame you into pioneering.

they give examples of 85 year old parapalegics that "made room in their lives" to pioneer.

How did YOU handle this sort of pressure???

They were all stressing to pioneer. I had one sister who always tried to make me feel guilty into doing it. Actually it just went in one ear and out the other, until she finally gave up and started pressuring others. I hated field service so why would I want to pioneer? My mom gave in and aux pioneered for a month and said she wouldn't do it again.
