i went to the doctor today for my mri results on my shoulder.

well, i found out i have shoulder tendonitis.

Tal, I've heard about that cortisone shot that it would hurt like a SOB (as you put it) for a couple of days and then it would go away. I begged my doc for a shot today but he said he has to send me to an orthopedic surgeon for the shot. I am in so much pain I am actually looking forward to the shot. Will let you know how it goes. How do you spell relief? C-O-R-T-I-S-O-N-E! LOL!

The Twilight Zone...any fans?

i am a huge fan of the twilight zone and i wondered if anyone on the board was a fan.

since the strangeness of the whole series mirrors my own jw life in some ways i found several episodes strangely fascinating.

interestingly my first experience watching it was in the reprised version of the series in the 80's and there was an episode where a shadowy figure lived under a kid's bed in return he would not hurt the owner until... and that's what i think made the series unique in how they added a twist that made every episode special, disturbing, or thought-provoking.

OMG Preston,

I just love the twilight zone! When they have marathons on TV I am in front of the TV all day. They have them on DVD now and I go to the library and check them out and I am straight for the weekend.

Remember the hit and run driver and the car eventually follows him to the police station to turn himself in after harrasing him?

One of my favorites, when a couple wakes up in a strange place and everything in the town is fake and they are the only ones there. All they can hear is this little girl laughing.

I love them all.

Thanks kazar,

They tell me to rest the shoulder and not use it much. Yeah, that is easier said than done. I am on an anti-inflammatory med and on oral steroids and pain medication. I just started the oral steroids today. I have been putting ice on it and it numbs the area and at least that helps with the pain temporarily. Keep of that elbow, I know what you are going through.

GGG, No, I have never tried acupuncture. The thought of all those needles scare me. Who knows if the pain doesn't go away soon, I might be willing to try anything.

Hi Hubert,

My Doc put me on oral steroids and he is going to schedule me to see an orthopedic surgeon. I guess when I see the orthopedic doc he will most likely give me a cortisone injection. Looks like I may need physical therapy in the near future to prevent me from gettting a frozen shoulder. Boy, this thing is extremly painful I just hope these treaments bring me some pain relief soon. I am on pain meds and ice seems to help since it temporarily numbs the area. This is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Please ,let the pain end soon.
