How many religious groups or organisations have you joined?

my mother brought me into jw-ism from the age of 7 and before that she was a catholic and she was baptised twice in her life.. i was only baptised once .
does that mean if you joined another belief would you have to be baptised again oh my god.. finally only 1 religion 4 me that being happy and enjoying what left of it.

what was the most influential saying/person that changed you ???
by run dont walk in.
if there was one thing that affected me most was, i would have to say the time i ran into a brother (while i was still in the borg) in the downtown area.. he said "just take one year off, no meetings, no service, no assemblies, no talks, nothing, just take a break, and you will see the wathctower differently, and your mind will clear.".
at the time i just shrugged it off as a bitter jw who left, now when i look back, it was probaly the biggest thing that someone ever said to me, and he was right, 100%.. was there a saying, an occurrence or a person that just got you thinking about how ridiculous the watchtower is ??

proverb 14:30 : "the life of the body is a heart of peace, but envy rots the bones"
this proverb really did free my mind once an for all ... I guess this is the real only good thing I can say "THANKs to the BIBLE" I'm happy that I've learned it at 7

My mother have been Catholic, Protestant, Adventist, and then JWs … for some reasons I feel like the WTBS have been very :
- smart in being on of the religion who claims that God’s name should be know, and that we shouldn’t adore images of god and stuff like that (sorry I’m tired don’t know how to say it)
- vicious in making sure that you believe in the fact that Jesus didn’t die on a cross, and that paradise is supposed to be on earth
After that … there is almost no way to go back on Christians religions (without knowing that somewhere, somehow they could be wrong)
I’m just happy that have got some news of my mother (SHE CALLED ME !!!) I told her I’m happy now because I’ve found people like me : means ExJWs (SHE WAS CURIOUS) … she SAID “ho that is nice” (??? Ooohh Mumy are you back on the real track?) and then she ask “DO they STILL believe in the bible ?” (??? Ooooooh mumy are you questioning yourself NOW ???). I answered : Well some does some don’t the fact is that most of us are just able to say that we don’t know … but do agree that the bible Is a kind of weird … and she said … “Ha ?" and then ... my sister knock on her door and she said “I’m gonna call you back”

Personality quirks that make you mad!
by Nosferatu ini'm not keeping this to jws only, but i remember one that used to make me want to punch him just because of the way he acted.. he'd come up to me, and he'd have one hand put halfway in his suit jacket, and he'd make a *click* sound with his tongue inbetween sentences.
that really drove me up the wall!.
anyone else know a person who would just drive you nuts because of the way he/she acted?

When I opened this post I though oh … that’s might be interesting and it was then I fall on
Cruithne post : Ooops ! well do you know that when you took a look at those people it was saying exactly “all” what you was meaning on them ??? Maybe on day you’ll be face to face with killers! … (This is not an advice … just think about it … women also can be killers in a gang or not)
Then I fall on freedom96 once : And I thought, why should you pissed of because of arrogant people “because of their supposed economic status” … You should laugh about it !!! NO ? … If not , something is wrong with you then … NO ?
There is two kind of arrogant people :
A) Those who are vain (vanity, futility) and in the way you wrote this post … the : “HA” you’ve put at the end of your sentence, said a lot …
B) Those who are bold : “like Breaheart” as the best known example I can give you (cause I hope you’ve had the chance to watch this movie), he wasn’t rich at all ! He was just Strong, he Dared everything he was expecting from others, he was saying we can make it together or not, and if you can’t I’m gonna do it for you, because I can’t stand it anymore … I'd rather die instead of doing nothing while I can !
See … this is the whole difference … A an B (they are not the same at all but both are arrogant)
What Am I pissed of about : well it depend on what, when and who but MOROVER its about WHY …

What Makes A Person Black?

but how about persons of mixed parentage, are they considered to be black too?.
how about my son's old girl friend whose grandmother was from the phillipines, is she black because her skin had a slight (and very beautiful) brownish glow that came from her ancestor?.

Ok, you still want to talk about this … Well
people do consider themselves as black if their parents told them so
people do feel themselves as black if anybody told them they are black (most of time because of their skin colour)
people do want to be black if they feel like one of the black culture fit them well
And so goes for other races (colour)
What’s the black features … Well if you really check the whole black coloured types of tribes … You’ll find out that their are so much that you can’t really define a stereotype of black feature (some blacks got so called white or asian features – African or not, just like some white people got so called black and asian features … Why … Well you know why … we are probably all cousins …)
What I’ve really realised it that there are a lot of people from different colours who really look the same !!! Just change his - color put nappy or straight hair – or just change rond eyes and change them with asian eyes - or just one or two thing … and here you’ve got an other race … BUT the same face !!!
Define someone’s race on his colour is blind concept, it depend on who wants to define it, and why he wants to define it …
