All the searches I did had results in which some details were omitted....there are some real talented folk on here for sure.

the easter challenge was apparently proposed by dan barker (circa 1991).
his challenge was quite simple and reasonable.

Has anyone solved it? The Easter Challenge was apparently proposed by Dan Barker (circa 1991). His challenge was quite simple and reasonable. In each of the 4 gospels, begin at Easter morning and read to the end of the book. Matt 28, Mark 16, Luke 24, and John 20-21. Also read Acts 1:3-12 and Paul's version of the story at 1 Cor 15:3-8.
It's about 165 verses.
Without omitting a single detail from these separate accounts, write a simple chronological narrative of the events between the the ressurrection and the ascension: what happened first, second, and so on; who said what, when and where these things happened.
It's permissible to make educated guesses about the time of day since the gospels are not clear on this. The narrative does not have to be a perfect picture but rather give one plausible account of all of the 'facts'. The important thing is that NOT ONE SINGLE BIBLICAL DETAIL BE OMITTED...
I couldn't do it...
Anyone else ever try this or seen a response to this question?

i was checking out why the watchtower study was using the book of matthew regarding the last days during the meeting.
i read somewhere, and please correct me if i am wrong, that mark was written in advance of the other accounts.. i thought the differences were startling.
mark makes no mention of "as in the days of noah".
The Gospel of John is quite different in content and essence all together....I always wondered why the wonderful story of the "ressurrection of Lazurus" was not witnessed or written about by all four apostles...
The writer of John made it all too clear the meanings by which he wanted to spread information about the "Christ"

was the ot books of the bible an attempt by the priestly class of the hebrews to build a religion.
i have discovered that some of the 10 commandments may have come from hammurabi's laws.
tithing 10% coming from the egyptians and phoenicians, the god el which is named in genesis as the supreme god came from the canaanites, several of the verses and stories in the bible taken from other cultures.
Crazyguy,
okay, but consider this/these question(s), did Leonardo DaVinci really want to paint the Last Supper? Did MichaelAngelo really want to sculpt a statue of Moses? I ask these questions because back then, like now everyone had/has their own personal agenda or agendas, each of the 4 guys in question did too. Massey, Sitchen (sp), Da Vinci and Michaelangelo. To get their point across they had to do whatever means necessary to ensure their message was read, heard or seen by the masses and would live on. There will always be controversy with historical information, simply because it's 'His Story'. No one person will have all of the facts. Which means the pieces to the puzzle must first be gathered then put together to explain the big picture.

Domi,
What does the word satan means in Hebrew? And do you really know where the concept of Satan originated?
And why was jokehova so mean to the Israelites in Hosea 4:1-16 anyway...such vulgar language.
