do you have any weird hang ups that you think are related to your history?

public speaking i hate hate hate any form of public speaking.

job interviews, presentations (for job interviews or in the work environment), telephone interviews etc.

Yes I agree!...it seems that if anything was fun, I had to look carefully to see how it might actually be bad, or may be distracting me from "my service to Jah"

I have to add. Weird views on sex and marriage! These left me so nervous around girls...unable to form relationaships, so I ended up settling for someone I wasnt really attracted to just to get married. We were the 'perfect couple on paper'...bethelite, regular pioneer. BUT we have no chemistry, no sexual attraction....

If we were bought up in a balanced way, then I could have had relationships, learned how to interact properly with girls and form a relationship that was normal, and healthy....

Such a santised, edited account / story!

What young woman is encouraged to go off to such an unstable land?

The video makes it look like she went by herself, when the truth is she was just one of many that went all together...she is never on her own in reality.

BUT in order to fit in with the "propaganda" push to make young ones "put the kingdom first", they make it look like this wonderful adventure!

What about health care? What about safety and food etc?

She will one day be a burnt out wreck, bitter and angry that she was brainwashed by parents and the cong for ruining her life. She will return from there in her mid thirties, broke, sick and unable to afford rent or health care...and the society will be no where to be found to support her!!!

Beleive me! Ive seen it so many times!

i have been dropping comments to a few re some classic old beliefs and teachings etc... and when asked "where did you read that, or how come you are saying such and such?

" i have replied "well, you remember we have often been told to study and research our old 'theocratic history' and 'old gems' of material?....

now though i have been challenged to prove where this has been printed!.

Yes, it amazes me so much that stuff printed in the past is now considered "old light", hence cant be mentioned, taught or talked about...yet at one time it was in effect 'from jehovahs mouth'?

yes, it's not an official questioning, but an unofficial one taking place by a few in social settings.... I know for a fact that there has been murmuring between a couple of elders... I think they are trying to catch me out...

sometime soon, we are to be "announced" as "no longer one of jehovah's witnesses".

well, that's what you get for testifying against "glorious ones.".

question is: will this kind of announcement be made the week of the co visit?.

I have fantasised that if I wanted to cause a stir, I would sit in a row near the front when it is announced, and then gasp in shock and blurt out

"what? I haven't been told any of this! What's going on?"

then I would stay calm and remain for the rest of the meeting, and follow along, raising my hand for answers etc like usual just so it causes a very uncomfortable atmosphere.

then after the mtg, just mingle as usual....

what can they do? Drag us out physically?

Those references will be of great assistance when ones in the cong (elders) say that all of my "subversive" comments are not to be discussed...

I can say "well, they are actually only direct quotes from our own rich spiritual heritage"!

You know it seriously makes my head spin and explode when I hear ones in the cong try and dispute the comments, or deny them, or even tell me that I shouldnt read that stuff!!

I want to scream. "WASNT THIS ALL SPIRITUAL FOOD FROM THE F&DS??? I didn't make this stuff up- they did, people!!!"

2: self righteous views that "we" are "probably" going to be saved, but a cute 2 year old child of a "worldly" person won't be because his parents are not witnesses?

ask the elders when exactly it will be announced! They have to tell you as it is info that concerns you....

By the way, Some time ago during A working day at the hall, several big boxes of old books were about to be thrown away, and I stashed them back under the hall... So I can truthfully say that I have have had access to these books to back up my comments.

i know I have read a km or wt that told us to delve into old books etc?.. Can anyone remember or find that quote please?

my wife and i are presently interstate house sitting for a freind , and this morning 2 jw`s called unexpectedly of course .

after their introducing themselves.

they offered the invitation to the memmorial which i rejected , then let him present his spiel , nothing has changed by the way .. i had them their for about an hour , i`m on holidays nothing better to do this morning except keep them away from other doors .and of course they were prepared to stay.
