Yes...that letter was indeed reread to us just before we were told we (all appointed in the cong) had to therefore pioneer for the duration.
We were told it was the official "recommendation" (ie better do it or you will be looked down on)

It would not matter what the change was...even if it was backwards or opposite, everone will still say:

I guess all of the actual "counting hours" doesnt bother me...I can write anything on a slip and tell them I did service in my own time etc during the week etc when it cant be disproven.
THE TRICK TO THAT IS: Ask for your own map! It has a few benefits:
1) of course you wont actually go out, so thats one more map of the community that wont be bothered by witnesses
2) hang on to it for a few weeks, say its done (drive around it to check it all out)
3) dont have to go out with others in the 'fake friends' group of gossipers...
BUT, what bothers me most is the forced way in which individuality and free choice is taken away, and the 'conformism' boys club is enforced....

this means that individual congregations and elders have no say anymore.

I think it all comes down to having all the appointed men in a cong (E&MS) NAMES read out to the whole cong as Aux Pioneers that is the motive! You see that way it would be viewed as Encouragement to all the cong to follow their lead....
SO, if I DONT pioneer, it will make me stand out as different!
AND as we all know...the org is great at allowing gossip to spread along with judgement as to what they feel each one should be doing with their lives!
I will find out officially in two days when I will try and get a copy of the letter for everyone...
