  How to reply when someone asks about your spiritual health

  first of all, sorry if i cannot correctly express the original expression used in my native language to ask for the "spiritual condition".. a few years ago some member of the family asks my wife directly how is her "spiritual health" (for me it's one of the many strange vocabulary used by jw like "the slave says...").

  she was catched by surprise with the direct question and says that everything is ok... and luckily someone call them for lunch.. my question is: do you have any good answers for that question?

  you can be ironic/use some humor because the question is a little bit anecdotical .

  Mexico branch......Now closing!!!

  a circuit overseer friend of mine serving in latin america called me today to say hi.

  i asked him what's new and he dropped the news that they have received notification that the branch in mexico will be closing!!

  this branch also called the central american branch (although located in mexico) oversees all of mexico's 800,000+ publishers plus all 7 countries of central america of over 100,000 publishers.

  How desperate!

  Wow.....they are truly dumbing down things now days...and that does not even keep people in!

  How is "Don't give up!" supposed to prevent those who have educated themselves to TTATT (the truth about the truth) from leaving?

  Seriously, can you imagine someone who has learned all number of disturbing facts about the society being swayed to stay after that convention theme?

  Oh I know! It is being used to "promote kingdom activity worldwide"

  Is that not the answer witnesses will be given?

  But, if a witness asks to see the balance sheets or accounting of the society, they will never be given access to it!

  Are witnesses even trying anymore?

  havent had an encounter with a witness in a while, almost 10 years, though at this point i could run circles around them in the scriptures, this encounter was very strange.

  was eating with my son at a coffee shop, guy comes up using it as an opening.

  i'm use to this because people find my son beautiful so i was open to him.

  They are really only out witnessing because it is expected of them. The social currency of witnesses is their field service time.

  If any were honestly asked if they REALLY want to be out, the answer would be NO.

  So, when out, they take the easiest path....which is to give a leaflet and run....

  Fading or Disassociating

  hello, i'm new here.. i'm a college student who has been raised in the "truth" for my entire life.

  i was baptized at 10 years old, and looking back now i know i didn't fully grasp everything involved, for one thing i don't even recall ever going to jehovah in a special prayer to dedicate myself to him, but anyway that's the past and my focus is really on the present.

  i'm currently pursuing an associates degree, but i find myself desiring to pursue a bachelors in my chosen field so that i may have a somewhat more secure future.
