some families are having a hard time about whether certain relatives will be attending certain family functions, because some family members that are no longer in the "truth", might be invited to these functions.
mind you, these persons were never disfellowshipped.

world population growth rate is 1.13%, whilst jehovah's witness average publishers grew by 1.8%.
watchtower growth is outpacing population growth, though at a dismal rate considering the 2 billion hours of preaching required for an increase of just 115,194. this is an aggregate number, and most growth is from developing nations in africa and south america.
what i was really interested in finding is how watchtower growth compares to the population growth in different countries.
Also, numbers of ones coming in is one thing, but the QUALITY of such ones needs to be taken into account.
The fact is that most coming in don't even meet the "high spiritual standards" of "the perfect witness" according to the GB guidelines.

The 2016 convention had several talks that warned against associating with ANY who have become inactive, or faded..as well as "less spiritual ones" still in the congregation.
The level of control and paranoia has reached an all time high amongst witnesses, and it has come directly from the GB

didn't the bible itself tell people to "use their powers of reason" and also praised ones like the boreans for researching things they were told??.
seriously, if there is no doubt about the organization being "god's channel" on earth, and it alone having the "truth", surely researching would only enhance such 'facts'?.

i've been following this forum for a couple of years now, but it's only just now that i've decided to register.
it's been quite a long and strenous process leaving the org, having been borned and raised in and spent so much time in.
i'm so gratefull there's the internet these days which helps new people find their way out of this and other religions.

The society is responsible for messing up the emotional state and in turn life choices of SO many thousands of young ones over the years!

following the news of stuckinarut2, over the past few months my wife has completely mentally woken up.

As my wife used to say when she was trying to reconcile if it was still the truth "Perhaps this is Jehovah 'refining' or 'cleaning up' his people"?

ok, so i don't know if this is "old news", and if this has been seen, and or mentioned already.
if it was, i do apologize, but i feel i have to mention what has been seen on tv, within the past 24 hours.. first off, i would like to say that i did not personally see this commercial.
however, it was seen by someone that i can verify 100% is telling the truth, as it was my own father who saw it.
Didn't Jesus supposedly say "By their fruits you will recognise them"
my wife has been trying to convince me that the organization is hinting at the possibility of making some older sisters ministerial servants.
she is awake to a lot of the false doctrines, but is still clinging to the hope that the org may become more progressive in the future.

This MAY be a reference to the proposal that the Judge and Legal team of the Australian Royal Commission made.
Namely, they strongly suggested that the organization should make provision for "qualified women" to sit in the investigative and supportive roles if a case of child or sexual abuse was to arise.
They said it was wholly inappropriate for three men to be the ones to hear such sensitive matters. They said that it would be far better for a woman to assist in such situations.
Of course, as Jackson said "there would be no room for Females to be appointed to a role of an elder or ms"
